For the record, I wasn't even around when all the **** went down. I was backpacking through Canada, and when I came back, all hell had broken out. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I have weighed in on the situation on the board.....if not, once or twice.

I don't want to shut anyone out, but I will not allow 40 posts, discussing lubrication and personal hijinks, having nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac (except for the fact that you might have been singing Landslide during some of the escapades), to take over a thread announcing the band's first tour in five years.

The 60 posts moved into this topic, came from just two threads, one in the FM forum and one in Stevie Nicks. In just a few hours time, these off topic asides flooded the board. Anyone who actually came to the The Ledge to read about the FM tour announcement was forced to do a lot of work to find the relevant subject matter. While, I am sure it was fun for you to share the hilarity with your friends, it was not as much fun for people looking to read about Fleetwood Mac or Stevie.

If that's the reason the board sucks for you, you definitely should not stay, because it will always suck that way. You can rib each other in Chit Chat. You cannot fill up 40 posts doing it in the FM forums. There might have been a time when you could. Those days are gone. As the commercial says, "This is not your father's oldsmobile." In fact, Detroit doesn't even make your father's oldsmobile any longer.

No one is shutting you out, but if things are so oppressive, so boring, so slow and so sucky here, there is no reason for you to stay.
