Largely, yes. This was back when she was still at least moderately popular. As you might guess, she was more prominent on the Dallas Austin version of the song.

Probably Stevie's worst non-Klonopin era song ever.

Why aren't people voting for "I Miss You" and "Love Is"
I admit I can listen to every Stevie/Lindsey/Christine/Peter.. etc.. song and enjoy it, but these two get old really really really fast.

Because they're the best songs on the album! Love Is #1, with I Miss You second. And the narrative is a little different. She talks to "you" in many of her songs, but in these particular two, it's really like we're listening in on an intimate conversation between lovers who have/had to part. It's really personal. The vocal phrasing and interpretation is spot on.

I can't even vote on this poll because I absolutely hate all the negative vibes... this was a fabulous album... and all I see on here is people ripping it to shreds... why are you people even on this thread if you all hate every single song the woman has written since 1999? It is slightly disappointing to me... This is a very critical group of people... this is why I have kinda given up on the whole voting thing...

Love Is is awesome!!!! One of the best songs she has done since the 80s. This is the song I show off to friends when I want them to hear how good she can still be.
