I'm torn between wanting Gypsy or Hold Me to win. If EOTW had made it this far then I'd have had a really, really tough time picking between all three so i guess this lessens my work by a third

Sonically Hold Me is the best tune on this album...

I remember putting it on my JVC turntable and it sort of punched you in the face with a great wall of sound....

I voted for Hold Me only because I think the other two are just stunning vocals from La Nicks and Gypsy is one of the better group efforts of all time. They were just all spot on on Gypsy.

The thing about Hold Me is that to me it needs another stanza rather than the repeat shuffle - repeat. LB is, however, magnificent on the guitar on this song and CM's words are a delight.

In the end, all three are winners to me.

Agree with all you said. They repeat the chorus on Hold Me for far too many times. It kinda goes on and on and on. I do like the interplay between Chris and Linds and have always loved the Put your hand inside of my glove lyric.

Gypsy is a fuller more complete song with a beginning middle and end. And the sentiment alone behind this song makes it outshine anything else on thsi CD.

Oh and RIP Straight Back! Sniff sniff. :-)

I always liked Hold Me, but I don't think I really started appreciating it until more recently.
It's such a great visual jukebox now... with Stevie painting Stevie and the camera looking right at the sun for the late guitar wail and Mick and John uncovering all the guitars and Chris singing her little heart out. Oh yeah, Linds looked pretty good in that too.

Hold Me Live

Pretty good - but not the tight album cut, which stuns.

Vocally, it drives me nuts. LB and La Nicks walk all over CM's vocal and that lush harmony on the chorus is, sadly, nonexistent. Again, the end of an era.

This is SO funny... it looks like they are having a lot of fun. I watched it about half way through, but the "hold me, hold me, hold me" part of the song is so annoying I just couldn't take it anymore...

I voted for Hold Me

Strand... what concert is this?... that's actually pretty damn good... CM really does a great job, piano and vocally... those harmonies are tight... especially to do them live...

I have it as Alpine Valley - but it could be mis labeled.

CM is lovely, as usual, on it.

La Nicks is out in the ozone with that vocal - but it works.

LB shines too.

They clearly are having fun on stage.
