The bad vibes haven't been because a particular song hasn't won. It's not like we're kids in the sandbox. It was the begging for votes in another forum that stuck in most people's craw. Actually, it has had sort of a strange effect on me. I have always been a "yay, the Mac has three lead singers" as well as a teen chiffonhead. But this poll, for whatever stupid reason, has me leaning toward the Lindsey AND Chris material. I feel silly about all of it, I mean, really a poll with just dozens of votes? But I would have preferred it to run its own course rather than the way it turned out. Can't believe chiffonheads find every single Stevie song preferable to some quality Lindsey and Chris stuff. Not just this album obviously.

Of course, there's no way I'm not voting Gypsy to win. But every round, I have voted SB.

Well, there is a long history of that here. PM's and emails are also often used. I've even had a phone call or two to me back in the day. So, it doesn't really phase me.

As for Straight Back and That's Alright - I think they are amongst La Nicks' better vocals and that is why I voted for them as opposed to the IMO weaker LB songs on this record.

There was NOTHING wrong with them posting in the other forum to let other fans know about the poll. NOTHING. (other than the fact that it was done in the Stevie forum rather than in the Lindsey one obviously.) And Alot of the Fans of hers tend to like that song, and ARE voting for it because they like it. and not just because it happens to be a song of hers. So there is no need to assume otherwise.

Well whatever gets you upset - if it's a song that gets voted off, or a topic created in another section, don't let it get to you. It's just a poll and doesn't really matter.

You think there's nothing wrong with it and that's fine.
I think there's something wrong with it and guess what, that's fine too.
A person's reaction to something is their reaction.
It has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Stevie vs. Lindsey, which seems to be chiffon's gut reaction to any eyebrow that is raised. And that's what is seriously turning me off. Again, a reaction that is both mine and fine.

And I still hope both go if it remains tied.

says more about your insecurities and lack of humor than anything I have said or done.

I tried to be humorous and diplomatic about this poll but some people are so caught up in their own little world that they can't see beyond their own opinions.

I agree, it's a stupid little poll. I'm not taking it too seriously. I'm making comments about it on a message board. Ever notice how people take comments made on a message board like they're talking about life and death? Well, I am not. And you are not. We have differing opinions. I'm fine with that.
