Home recording software

I have a little home recording setup in my house.
I was wondering what other ledgies use, and what they found was the easiest to use and learn.
I have sonar 7 producers, but find it over my head. Right now I'm trying Mixcraft.

I have garage band on my Mac. It's been pretty good.

If you have a good processor, Cubase. I have a version of it and have found that it is very processor intensive, but pretty nice. For a Mac, Garage Band is always good to.
