Moms in the hospital.

Hi all,Last thursday morning,my mother was rushed to the emergency room due to a gall bladder problem.at the time the doctors could not operate due to weak vitals at the time she was admitted, so the worked on getting her vitals up to a safe levels to do surgury.so it was the worse 3 day in my life to wait and see when the doctors will operate to remove her infective gall bladder out. so Sunday afthernoon around 4pm she was brought into the OR
for a 3hour surgery.when 7pm came around her doctor came out with the outcome of the surgury.He said due to her age "she's 76 years old" and health at the time.gave 40 percent to make it out of danger in the next 72 hours after surgury to live, due to some problems during the surgury , she lost about 8 feet of her small intestine due to her infected gall bladder.so today.monday night 24 hours after the surgury she in ICU, stable condition and alert.
So lets prey for my mom to get out of danger and hope she will recover from this.

A bad gall bladder is a horrible thing to go through. My grandma had her's removed when I was very little, but 8 years ago my mom had to have her's removed too. The first time my mom had a gall bladder pain, she thought she was having a heart attack and my dad called 911. They couldn't find out what was wrong with her, and sent her home the next morning. She suffered with gall bladder pain for 2 months before they did surgery. The doctor said her gall bladder was full of stones. So, I know what you are going through. Hang in there. You and your mom are in my prayers.

My goodness! Y'all are in my thoughts.

I had no idea a gallbladder could make you lose your intestines?! I had to have mine out a couple of years ago, and I thought I was dying from the pain of the attack itself, but after they got it out, I was (mostly) fine.

I'm so sorry for all of that, it must be so hard on you.

Thanks for all the prayers, she 's in stable condition after 3 weeks in ICU, one week in the stepdown ward.maybe tomorrow 11-11 she will get transfered the local rehab hospital for to get her back on her feet again.Thanks again for all the love and care.I will give more updates as they will come.
