Default A decade in the sun: The best of Stereophonics

Well, it's hard to believe my second favorite band has now been around for 10 years. I still remember like it was yesterday when I first heard their music on the ferry crossing from Calais to Dover on my European holiday back in 2002. Stereophonics are releasing a compilation of hits, the title of which is the same as this thread. There will be a regular package with 1 cd available as well as a seperate deluxe edition that will feature 2 cd's. Following is a track listing. The first cd is the regular one, and the second is the one that comes with the Deluxe edition:

cd1

1.Dakota
2.Bartender And The Thief
3.Just Looking
4.Have a Nice Day
5.Local Boy In A Photograph
6.Maybe Tomorrow
7.Superman
8.Pick a Part That's New
9.My Own Worst Enemy(new song)
10.I wouldn't Believe Your Radio
11.You're My Star(new song)
12.Mr.Writer
13.Step On My Old Size Nines
14.Devil
15.It Means Nothing
16.A Thousand Trees
17.Vegas Two Times
18.Traffic
19.More Life In a Tramps Vest
20.Handbags And Gladrags

cd2

1.Madame Helga
2.Bank Holiday Monday
3.Rewind
4.My Friends
5.Climing The Wall
6.Mama Told Me Not To Come(with Tom Jones)
7.Since I Told You It's Over
8.Moviestar
9.Not Up To You
10.Getaway
11.I Stopped To Fill My Car Up
12.Carrot Cake And Wine
13.Billy Daveys Daughter
14.Raymonds Shop
15.Stone
16.I'm Allright
17.The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face(with Jools Holland)
18.Same Size Feet
19.She Takes Her Clothes Off
20.Hurry Up And Wait

I was very pleased with the track selections. I think a very good mix of both old and new stuff. The cd will be available to order from amazon.com/uk and also the american version. For more information go to www.stereophonics.com It will be available on November 1oth in the UK and November 18th here in the states.

I got my 1st Stereophonics CD in 2001. I think it was several months before 9/11. No one had heard of them...at least, none of the folks who were coming into the record store i worked in.

Thanks for the heads up David.

I got introduced to the Stereophonics -- because of your birthday. Stew Matthews posted a video link "Have a Nice Day" in your Happy Birthday Thread.

I had never heard of them before and found that I like their music. So thanks for keeping me posted.

Here's the funny thing about Maybe Tomorrow. You might know it was played at the end credits of the movie Crash, and I'm sure that exposure didnt hurt.
