Alright, so who do you all think won this thing?

I don't know, it all seemed kind of flat to me..... But I guess I give the nod to Obama.

1. It seemed like Cindy McCain totally snubbed Michelle Obama when they walked past each other.

2. Michelle Obama is talking intently to people in the audience and Cindy McCain did not do that, which was odd.

Note - there could have been moments when Cindy McCain did that just did not read. But, the Obama's appear to be staying longer, while the McCains appear to have left.

That's odd to me.

In the end, there was no clear winner to me.

I will say though, that McCain needs better schtick on the war in Iraq because people ain't buying what he's been a sellin'

Got it! If I remember correctly, I believe you're Native American and have spoken for their causes before, so just respecting that.

But, Biden's assertion was not in the Const. either.

All the Const. really talks about is the VP becoming President should the President become unable to serve and acting as the presiding officer of the U.S. Senate.

So, while they are both wrong, Palin's view is more against the Const. because it seeks to expand exact lang. Nothing in the Const. speaks to the VP being in the room with the Pres. Personally, I think Biden said it as way of reassuring people that he would lend his vast experience to the neophyte Obama.

As an aside, I would have LOVED to have seen Hillary debate Palin. It would be like watching a biker chick go after a blond haired, mindless, Tri Delt
Yeah. I had to back up the Tivo when Biden said the VP role in the Executive Branch was located in Article I to make sure I heard that right. Lord, the man doesn't even know where his job description is located!

Oh a Hillary v. Palin would be an unbelieveable situation to watch. Pay-per-view, anyone???

I agree - that is why I earlier equated voting for Obama to pissing on a spark plug to get the R's out of office, which is my goal no matter how repugnant the D candidate is.

I saw Cindy shaking hands with people, but probably doesn't have much to say. hehe

I also think think for supposedly undecided voters, there were quite a few Dems in the house! Did you see that camera shot of Obama yaking it up, as a Leo will do, and the guy on his left was glaring at him, with his arms crossed. And I do mean glaring. LOL.

I hear ya! There is a good chance of it without my help though. I think 8 years for any Dem or Rep is long enough.

Let's give at least 4 years to a fresh perspective. If he sucks, well, back to Rep.

I know -- but, to be fair, I can assure you neither did Palin

I might have been like Sherri Shepherd getting her black bit*h on Elisabeth Hasselback today on The View -- at about 6:00

Elisabeth routinely looks like an idiot on that show and she still has Hannity's brown on her nose I mean she says something and everyone says it is untrue and she, a la Hannity, just keeps saying it I truly wonder if she gets compensation from the RNC or Fox. (which are the same in my mind )

Obama ain't missing a photo op -- I am rather surprised he did not have someone hand him a baby

And - the glaring guy was something to see

I had pretty darn low expectations for McCain and I thought he would look really angry and lash out a lot at Obama. I was quite surprised. I think he handily won the debate. He engaged people right off the bat. Obama looked lost at first. He was so used to preaching at people that he didn't get off his stool for the first quarter of it anyway. McCain was right there in the audience and looking people in the eye. Obama seemed distant for the most part, like he was waiting for a large crowd to show up and like he didn't know what to do with himself. He seemed to get more comfortable as he went on. I am so used to Republicans being polite and I was cheering on my couch any time McCain called Obama on the carpet for something. He didn't resort to bringing up Bill Ayers or anything and was able to just use Obama against Obama without having to ditch into the gutter. I thought he took on Obama directly, yet basically politely. He sounded more inspirational, which is something McCain doesn't usually do. I won't be surprised if he doesn't end up tying out with Obama again after the polling rolls in after a few days.
