Default love runs deeper

is anyone else blown away by this song or is it just me? I got the chills from listening to it. a few posts ive read people have said it doesnt do it for them.It was great to hear something possibly better than the GOS songs weve had for years now but I feel no love for it.

It totally jumped out at me like I wrote on the 'reviews" post it's a very infectiuos song and if radio still played FM or LB I could see it being a hit..not sure what there is not to like about it for any Fleetwood Mac fan.

Heart

Nope, you're not the only one. I want to marry it and have its babies.

Seriously, I LOVE LRD. I love the entire CD, but that ones just ROCKS my socks off. I cannot WAIT to hear it live!! I want to go outside, put the CD on and just crank that sucker all the way up.

Well, saying love runs deeper underground and from a broken home makes me think of illicit love. Adulterous love, since you break a home to have it. Michele

Totally agree with everyone here!!

I think the song is Mac enough for them to do it on their upcoming tour... after all, Stevie always gets to do "Stand Back"!

Hmm...I probably should like it, but it just ain't doin it for me. I feel he should've had at least one song on this album that had a real lengthy guitar solo. Like he did on Come or something...

This is easily the best rocker on the album. If it doesn't get playtime on the radio, it would be a travesty. It's basically a copy of GYOW though. Same arrangement, small solo, chorus, longer solo. Acoustic guitar being the driving force behind it. But hey, it works. I might be getting ahead of myself, but this might be IMO his best work as a solo artist.

Cobbling together a lot of people's observations, it seems the first part of the song could be read to be about Christine. And the second part could be read to be about Stevie. So maybe this song is about Fleetwood Mac? Which itself is a (musical) metaphor for all relationships, the love that holds them together.

Well, that would be the interpretation in my dreams, but I doubt Lindsey had that in mind. When he says "black angel" I do think of Stevie because she would wear black so much on stage for his last tours with her.

That last minute drives me crazy with excitement. I'll never be able to listen to this song while trying to fall asleep because as soon as that soloing starts, I'm going to be all hyped up again. Just love it!

I said it in the Reaction to Gift of Screws thread but I'll say it again here. The guitar solos remind me a lot of the ones from Turn It On only better and without the anoying vocals on turn it on.

Oh and I couldn't put my finger on what the acoustic guitar reminds me of, but now I remmbered. It reminds me of the opening and other parts of Straight Back.
