i strongly support this theory. i believe that by downloading music i'm in fact SUPPORTING music, i now buy only singles (whenever available), and only albums which i checked already and know i wanna have in their legit-expensive form.

Maybe your right, Tommer. Get these Backstreet Boobs and Christina Uglyhaira out of the biz for the $$$. Maybe it will heal the industry....

Tommer, you do raise good points. I never knew Moby was that cool. I know Neil Young was one of the first people to come out in support of Napster, but I already knew he was cool like that.
I found out about something really cool today actually...about a band called Soulive. I think the way it works is they encourage you to download their music and let you record their live shows (I hear Dave Matthews does that too), then if you like what you hear you buy the album, and it has a cd-rom thing which gives your computer special access to a private site where you can download more music and be privvy to special stuff. That way you get more for your $$, the record company is happy and the band gets $$ without feeling like their fans are getting taken for a ride.
I kinda like that idea.
