Default Any gamers?

I grew up on Nintendo in the 80s...then Super NES. I just recently got a wii and have fallen in love with Resident Evil 4. Never been a fan of shooters...nor "zombie" stuff for that matter. I find myself thinking about the game! Driving my wife nuts! haha

Well, I'm just a "beginner" gamer, with slots and stuff on computer, but my boyfriend is a HUGE Diablo II fanatic on computer as well as he's got the Xbox, Xbox360, PSP, PS2 and PS3. He's a 3rd person shooter fan on his systems. He said he's played Resident Evil 4, but the controls were too slow for him.. LOL

I've played about a million hours on my various Nintendo's.

Madden Football #1

Zelda! It came with one of the Nintendo systems and I've been hooked since.

I still have my 8-bit from 1988! My brother up and sold off some of my old games that I left at his house a few years back. I never actually play it anymore. When I get a hankering for an old game, there are emulators available and roms you can get for free for a lot of those old systems. Anyone else remember the 1982 version of Wolfenstein that looked like Pacman?

I play rock band for real though.....

I got the first Resident Evil years ago on the first Playstation! I played it when I was home alone one time and couldn't do it again because it freaked me out. The thing I didn't like about the game is it's only one player, and you can't even really take turns because the game play is so long. I used to make my friend Matt play it so I could watch and see what happens. Is the game play much different on the Wii?

well, RE4 is the first of the installment that I have played. Like I said, I was never a fan of shooters...much less zombie stuff. I grew up really digging Final Fantasy...Zelda...Mario Brothers, stuff like that.

I had a hard time first playing the game alone...yes...I am easily frightened by monster type stuff (i have the mind of a child when it comes to these things). The first time I played it a few days ago was early in the morning...around 6am...the sun wasnt even up yet and I'm walking around corners with a pistol and then...BLLLLLLAAAAAHH! ...zombie! Yeah...scary.

LOLOL.. That's too funny. I guess I'm just going to stick with my Bally's slot machine games.. LOLOL.. I know, call me boring.. I can't handle that monster or shooter stuff either, as I always have to stay in the other room when my boyfriend plays them.. as I can't handle it. Now he did just recently play a cool car racing game on his PS3 that was cool, and I enjoyed watching that one, but the other stuff.. no thanks! LOLOL

That's how I am. I love horror movies, but I usually end up watching them with my eyes squinted, or a pillow so I can cover my face if I have to. The first time I played RE I got to the part where the game goes into the auto/movie type mode when you turn a corner in a hallway and the zombie is crouched down over a person eating them, and then they turn around and come after you. I couldn't find the right buttons on the controller because I panicked and the zombie ended up chewing my neck. That was the last time I played. Watching someone else play is fun though!

Renee pointed out to me that I once saw some kids playing Guitar Hero in Target and said "GO OUT and learn a real instrument you punks!" (not so that the kids heard me or anything). So I guess I was being a bit crotchety about it.
