POLL TIME!!! What's your favorite performance from Soundstage so far? Is it her sexy cover of Crash Into Me, the sultry rendition of HSML, or maybe that oh so cool top hat Rhiannon?

Why were individual covers included in this poll ( could've had an option for "a cover", when originals such as If Anyone Falls were ignored?
I love that song, and I really enjoyed Circle Dance, as I had never heard it before. ![]()

Because it's my poll. If Anyone Falls would fall into the category of other, so it's not IGNORED. Why so negative?

that performance of Rhiannon. Loved the outfit, loved the energy, loved the wind blowing on her during the end.

I have to agree. There were parts of it where I thought it was 1981 all over again. Yes, her voice strugguled with a small portion of it, but the overal performance took my breath away.

With that aside, I really loved the whole concert, and picking a favorite was nearly impossible. I thought everything was classic. ![]()

Apology accepted. I just want this to be a discussion of our favorites from Soundstage, without getting into the structure of the poll. "Other" covers everything from Soundstage. So I invite anyone who has a preference for a song not listed, to click on it and then express your choice/opinion in your post. Thanks.

There were about 3-4 that I liked so much that it was hard for me to choose too.

![]() As for Rhiannon, it was killer. I LOOOOOOOVED the top hat. There were moments when it looked like 1977 all over again...although I was never around back then. ![]()

For me at least, the highlight of the show was Sara. The first few times I watched Soundstage, Sara brought tears to my eyes... something Stevie's singing hasn't done in many years. Her voice was the most pristine I've heard it in decades... simply gorgeous. She finally sang the song without a gun pointed to her head and clearly enjoyed it too. It just seemed like a full circle perfomance to me... like she's finally at peace with the subject matter of the song, and could sing it in the way that it truly deserved.
That said... Gold Dust Woman was phenomenal... and I enjoyed How Still My Love as well. Those are the 3 songs I find myself watching over and over... Last edited by louielouie2000; 08-08-2008 at 02:48 PM.. |

In musical terms, I think the band is at its best, by far, on HOW STILL. The musicians sound not merely committed but inspired, vamping with a subtlety & freshness that I haven't heard from a Stevie Nicks band in ages.
