I agree that the band was emotionally muted on Sara. It worked though - at least for me. To me, Sara is such a lush and intricate sound on Tusk, that few other than FM have been able to capture it on stage.

DO you think Waddy does that on purpose. I mean compare the SS version of his guitar to this version:

or really even this version:

as an aside - I love the harmonies display on this one (see 6:03-o4 ) -- the vocal, however, drives me batty.

Of Course, LB is the master, esp. from 6:09:

I was there for this and she was singing to him (what appeared to be "Were we just dreaming" ) -- while he was playing that guitar. I was flushed!

YOU BETTER NOT MEAN ANY DISRESPECT OR I'LL COME THROUGH MY COMPUTER SCREEN AND KNOCK YA UPSIDE THE HEAD! I know my clips weren't up to speed and a little concerned they may have a negative effect on some people's opinions of the show. I was just a little concerned about posting youtube or similar quality clips here, of what will be released as official product. I guess that's okay? And you never know how many are not aware of places like YouTube or the Stevie INFO sites. Anyway, I was just trying to help out in my "cliffdweller from the old school" way. Da bomb eh?!

As for the phone thing during Sara - - that is not really a cell phone thing. It and I were around way before cell phone LOL. In fact, I think she has used it before in the early late 70's early 80's -- though I could be mistaken.

She makes the gesture as if she is calling someone, but if I know Stevie, she probably doesn't even own a cell phone. A phone yes, a cell phone, no. We're thinking modern times now. I don't remember her ever using the gesture before Soundstage, but she very well may have. Nonetheless I thought it was a cool effect.

I'm not sure about "You Tube" but it's one of the times that she sings "call me." You know she does that thing where you hold your thumb out and your pinkie finger and put it up to your ear like a phone receiver.

I just thought it was funny. Untighten my corset and then give me a buzz on the phone.

Even if it's a traditional phone, it is incongruent with corset laces. Michele

Oh yeah, David. Way to make it look like you stumbled upon the program by accident, when I know you circled your TV Guide in red, surrounded by yellow stars and then tied a ribbon around it, waiting until 9 p.m.

To you

Last I checked the phone was around in the Victorian and Edwardian eras and corsets went out of style in ine 20's when flapperdom took hold.

Aside from the fact that the phone wasn't in common usage, when they did become widespread, it certainly wasn't that type of phone. Actually, it really would have been funny if Stevie had done one of those retro hand crank gestures to dial up the operator and place her call.

If I think of the song visually, it does put me in mind of a bygone era, well historical era, yes. I would say just the phrase "sea of love" kind of takes you 50 years back. But it makes me think of a bygone Stevie era too. 1979 again. It has a strong sense of nostalgia to it with the heartbeat that never really dies. I would say this is more true of her Tusk songs (Angel, Storms too) than of the Rumours songs. The Tusk songs seem to have a mood of another time. Michele

i guess that would be the opposite of ageless considering he looked like he was 60 back then lol

You're always laughing about this, that, or the other. Did you get my questions?

I know exactly what you mean (my misprision of your misprision of my misprision of your misprision). But the Stevie Nicks track I feel that sense of a bygone era most . . . er, acutely is CRYSTAL (1975).

Well I'm sorry you missed it, but there will be a part 2 to catch. Also, they may even play part 1 again where you're at, so you may want to check your local listings.
