I watched Amy Winehouse at Glastonbury festival at the weekend and I had such mixed emotions. She was stumbling on the stage, almost falling over and losing her hair, and that was sad, but I loved it when she got off the stage to have contact with the fans, and it reminded me so much of Stevie. Although somehow it wasn't the same, I don't remember seeing Stevie so obviously out of her head. I kept thinking well the Mac were on all sorts of things so what's the difference. But unfortunately in the UK Amy is quite a role model to the young girls, my daughter who is 9 and all her friends love her. It worries me the coverage she gets in the media - apparently there were blatant photos of her a few months back showing serious drug taking in the daily press and that is shocking for it to become the norm for 9+ year olds. I don't remember Stevie being like that. I feel that Amy is a lost soul, she is indeed a brilliant writer and singer and also very lost.
