I don't think I've ever seen anything like this in all her performances. Emotions ran all over the place inside me.

After Stand Back she started talking to the audience then she screamed out at the top of her lungs "LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" She was really getting into tonight's concert. She was shakin her groove thing like crazy! LMAO!

When Stevie went to change into her Rhiannon costume a bee flew into her hair. She was laughing about it. It was hilarious.

Stevie told us to all go out and buy Bob Segars album right before Face the Promise so we can save the music industry. Lol.

Gold Dust Woman was the best version I have ever heard! I swear! Stevie even said she thought so.

She dedicated Landslide to her daddy. It was sweet.

Stevie messed up a line or two in Rock and Roll but who cares, it was still good.

Oh, and security was a bitch. I even overheard one security guard who said he hates it when Stevie comes to play because she allows everyone to run up to the stage for the Edge Walk. Lighten up, buddy! You're a douche! Ha ha.

Yes, it was amazing.

I was in Orchestra F (this is signifcant to my story). Some cranky man threatened me with violence if I didn't stop standing up during the performances. Fortunately, I didn't. As a WONDERFUL Stevie fan who was in the 5th row said she saw me dancing(!?!?) and gave me her ticket to see the end of Edge and the last two numbers -- UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL. OMG Stevie is such a luminous presence -- AND HER SMILE!!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to whomever gave me that ticket!!!!!!! It completely made my night. IF THAT PERSON VISITS THE LEDGE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHO YOU ARE SO I CAN THANK YOU PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!! (FYI, this is the first time I've ever seen Stevie in concert!)

Stevie's voice was in beautiful form tonight. Only "Dreams" seemed "weak" vocally. That actually made worried, but "Gold Dust Woman," "Rhiannon," and "Landslide" (maybe the best I've ever heard) were sublime. "Edge" rocked out, as expected. "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You" was a GREAT ending -- with the collage of soldiers and the American Flag and purple heart. Stevie's call for "revolution" (seriously, she said that) at the end of the show was LOL.

Oh, and, "If Anyone Falls" was the one that got me in trouble with the cranky man. Which means I was obviously enjoying it.

On to the show.

Stevie was on fire. Amazing! She mentioned that the show was the 2nd to last to the end of the summer tour. She also made a comment that basically the whole last week of shows the rain followed them but it was here yet but I am sure it will be here soon!
The part about the bee in her hair was hilarious. I saw something fly into her head but I thought it was a moth. 15 twirls during Stand Back. She left the red shawl on for Stand Back, Outside the Rain, Dreams and If Anyone Falls. Her vocals on Rhiannon were outstanding. I am trying to remember bits and pieces. She wore boots all night but up until Rhiannon she was wearing shorter boots. When it was time for Rhiannon she put the taller black boots on but they came off and the shorter ones eventually came off. The girls were amazing as well. Lori is one fantastic woman! She waved and smiled a few times at me. I think all 3 girls were getting a bit irritated with the girl at the far right of the stage who works on the sound because they kept telling her all night turn Stevie up, turn the piano down, turn my mic up. Stevie was having a few problems with the in ears. Ok so now to the Edge walk and the whole thing with security. Beforehand we ran into Lenny Castro and chatted with him and we took pictures with him but only with our cell phones and we told him "they made us bring our cameras back to the car" and he was like "why? that is stupid"...so AT least the band doesn't mind pictures...anyways..there were 3 drunk ladies behind me that managed to get up for the walk and I swore they were going to screw it up for us. Security thought it was funny that they were all over each other and drunk. I was so pissed...so anyways I let this guy up for the Edge walk. So he stood to the left of me right in front of the speaker. When Stevie came over to us she OBVIOUSLY couldn't reach the guy in front of the speaker so here she comes right for me!! She grabbed both of my hands squeezed on to them looked at me I said thank you she said thank you and then I managed to get my left hand free but she wasn't letting go of my right hand. She reached over and shook the dude to the left of me, Donna to the right of me and a few people behind me. STILL holding on to my hand but now she is like swinging my arm like we were dancing. I was like OH MY GOD she isn't letting go. So she gave it one more squeeze, turned to me smiled and let go. The rest of the show was great. I am so happy that my buddy Donna after 30 years go to shake her hand. It was worth the 4 hour plus drive from Boston! Peace, love and Stevie rccks!

Like many here, I've seen a ton of shows (about 70 in total since 1986) but I don't think I've ever posted a review. After last night's show though, I must. At the end of Stand Back, Stevie said this is the second to last show and then they were done for the summer, so she expects this show to be nothing short of extraordinary (If anybody can quote her exactly, please do). I've seen Stevie enough to know right from that moment that we were in for a special night. Then, as she's been saying every night, she turns to Waddy and said, "Ready, Wad?...LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!... and it sounded like her voice carried clear across the Great South Bay.

The weather was perfect and the amphitheater, much to my surprise and delight, was packed (not a full house, but very few acts sell out completely because it is quite large). Jones Beach shows have always been a favorite of mine for two reasons...it's my "home venue" and it is clearly a favorite of Stevie's (the ocean is her blanket!). And in Stevie's mind, Jones Beach is part of NYC (I'll never forget one night after the opening songs, she said, "Welcome NYC!!!!") which gets her even more pumped.

I saw the two Borgata shows last week and enjoyed them both, but was coming to the sad realization that Stevie's gusto and ability to truly rock out with genuine enthusiasm and spontaneity may be gone. Thankfully, she proved me wrong last night. As trite and cliche as it sounds, she ROCKED THE HOUSE in a very big way and had the crowd in the palm of her hand from the very start. I went with a group of friends, three of whom had never seen her live (and two of whom are not even the slightest of fans and wouldn't have attended if the tickets weren't free). Well, the three of them were BLOWN AWAY... two of them were in tears during Landslide and they were all amazed that they knew and loved almost every song. And they couldn't believe they were watching a 60 year old woman.

I won't go into detail about how unique of a performance we saw last night, but I will sum it up as best I can. Vocally, her voice was a force like I haven't heard in quite a while and there was not one moment she went into autopilot. She was totally immersed in her performance and "played with" the songs as if she was singing them for the first time showing intense emotion and passion, moving and swaying with fluidity, grace and confidence I don't think I've ever seen from her (at least not for an entire show start to finish).

At the end of "Has Anyone," my knees actually buckled and and I lost my breath. I was reacting not only to the power and emotion with which she delivered that last line, but at the total connection Stevie made with her music and her fans last night. There truly was a connection and Stevie truly was INSPIRED!

Wow, everyone's review is so good, I felt like I was right there.
I so hope someone got audio or video clips. I am so glad to hear that it didn't rain and that Stevie was having the time of her life up there on stage.

I am imagining Stevie swatting or ducking to avoid a bee, very funny but it sounds like she took it all in grace as only Stevie can. (if it were me, I would look like an idiot up there arms swinging and acting goofy).

I was there last night and I was absolutely loving it. My seats sucked but just the same I think that maybe out of the 3 Stevie shows I've been to so far, this one was the best! I could FEEL Stevie's energy all the way in the back!

Two things I'd like to mention that I don't think have been covered yet -
I thought the harmonies between Stevie and "the girls" on "If Anyone Falls" were STUNNING. That was SO good!


Stevie did something that I thought was very clever during Stand Back.
Right before the part where she normally starts spinning, she started kind of hobbling around the stage "like an old woman." You start thinking to yourself, "Well - I guess there aren't going to be any spins or twirls this time around. She IS 60 now, after all." That, of course, was EXACTLY when she launched into her spins, and she was like, "YEP! SIXTY! " (There were two high-kicks also, one of which was shoulder-height.)

Anyway I totally agree with everything else everyone said, except that to be completely honest I really did think that Rhiannon dragged a little bit. The "Spirits" may have been with her during "Gold Dust Woman" - but I think maybe they went backstage for a snooze during Rhiannon. I hope she'll always have it as a part of her show but I could easily imagine her thinking "Oh Christ here we go again - I wish I had never written this song. " But for every single other song, I think her energy level was VERY high and she was having a very good time.

Long story short - just take everything the negative critics have been saying lately and turn it exactly upside-down. This show was just as good as could BEE!

I had seen Stevie in February, so initially I didn't feel that awful about missing this tour, but now that I read these reviews, I am really disappointed that the left coast was left out. It sounds like a sensational and exciting night. You guys are so lucky.

Eric that's so funny about Stevie hanging on to your hand. Hey, you'd give it to her, if you were sure you wouldn't be needing it for a thing or 2 in the future!
