because i truly did not know....i was hoping someone would have audio/video (youtube) so i would know exactly what was said and have the "full memory" instead of the "stevie nicks once said my name memory"....thank you for your quick response(s) and thank you both [i'm not that computer savvy] for welcoming me and not being mad about my lengthiness...

She actually said you name TWICE if I recall properly; It was heartfelt as if she knew you!!!

Dark Stevie/Melissa, I was in the second row and I heard the full dedication. She said Landslide was dedicated to you because you had been to every show she has ever done.... and she thought she was the only one to have been to every show she has ever done. She said that she usually dedicates the song to her dad but that you were beating out her dad that night.

It's funny to see you post on here because I actually thought about that dedication and took her literally. In fact, on the way home, I asked my boyfriend who in the hell could go to every show Stevie has ever done? I said it must either be someone who works for her or someone who is loaded and doesn't have to work and can follow Stevie cross-country. She really made it sound like you hadn't missed a show - ever!

Cool story and nice of your friend to try to arrange a meeting!

hey melissa/dark stevie...welcome to the ledge and thanks to u and david for supporting stevie all these years and all those tours too...stevie's not going to be recording forever and i'd do the same thing if i were able...she's one of a kind and there'll never be another...where did u come up with ur id of dark stevie? there are a few ppl who go to these shows and record them...perhaps this chicago show was recorded...i'll do a little scouting around for u to see if the one i know of was there...take care...pat

unfortunately for me, i am not "loaded" nor do i work for her...wonder what that'd be like...my friends correspondence indicated that i had never missed a "CHICAGO show...not knowing i missed "tango" ~ as my friend is, well WAS not a "stevie listener", she only knows that i've been "following" stevie nicks around for well over half of my life...which she thought was odd... until i told her this is common in the "stevie world"...so something got lost between my friend, whomever she contacted, whomever they contacted and the stage...i wish i would've had time and resources (and energy) to attend EVERY SINGLE stevie/fm show ever...and why am i calling myself "dark stevie" ??? well... that's what people at the concerts have called me over the years when i walk by...i am "dressed" and i have long "DARK-STEVIE"-style" hair...

i hit that send button...i just want to say that i am totally blown away by how friendly and helpful those of you who have posted have been...i never had cause or skills to get on here beore...further, i didn't really think i had anything to add...you have the best pictures on here, too..and little "treasured tidbits" of info...thanks to all of you again for your kindness...(i'm gonna try to do this smiling face over here, i hope it works...)

That's off the hook that dedication! There is hope for us nutso people who've seen a billion and a half shows! lmao. If David, myslf or any of the others that spend serious dough to city & state hop for shows don't meet her this outing, I throw in the towel!

Don't throw in your towel just yet Anita..

Im not meaning to sound pessimistic here, but I look at it as, "if" it happens, it happens..I pay a lot of money to go and see Stevie, because I want to.. It would be nice to actually get to meet her, other than just be able to shake her hand for the Edge walk..But I'm certainly not going to bank on meeting her- as to me, that's like waiting for a kettle to boil.. LOL

Stevie is NOT meeting anyone after the shows this little tour, as she's too busy. One of my friends gets to see her regularly, and she's not even allowed to see her this stint.

I hear ya! I'm hot/cold with this issue. One side of me is like all the money in the world is worth being able to see SN frequently w/ no need of a "payoff" meeting w/ her.
The other (EVIL) lol part of me says jeez...you'd think I could have some meager run in encounter w/ her ala LB & the meetings I've had w/ Mick. Cause back when, you'd get that if you paid to go to the AHI Benefit. For that I always figured $1000 would get me multiple SN shows and I'd MAYBE get a chance...vs ONE show and the big finale. But now even that opp is no longer available. JeezLouise!

For the Honda Benefit in February, you could get a meet and greet with her if you bought a whole table of tickets. For a table of 10 (at $1500 each, I believe, at the platinum table), I think only 2 people would get the meeting opportunity.

The radio station that sponsored the show at DTE was having a contest to go backstage and meet Stevie...... I got to the venue too late to enter

The contest also upgraded people to the front row.....
