Default St.Louis Concert Report

Last night was astonishing, and enchanting. Let me narrow it down for you as good news and bad news.
BAD NEWS: The opening act was pretty good but St.Louis is a picky town when it comes to artists or songs that people don't know. Alot of people were not booing him, but they were being rude around me by saying ignorant comments that his music all sounds the same and that he needed to get off the stage. That was wrong and rude of them to say that. I asked one man beside me if he had any piano or musical talents? he said no, and I said, "Well then, maybe you should think before you speak. He says, "What do you mean?" I said, "That guy down there is making more money than you and he is an opening act for a legend, so I don't think you have any right to insult his music, when you have no talent for anything whatsoever." He basicall gave me a "bah" wave and ignored me. Prices on t-shirts were outragous, 40-almost 50! But I got a tour book for 10.00, a keychain for 5.00, and a Herbie poster for 5.00! I only spent 5.00 on parking and 20.00 on 3 items, I thought I was doing good! My seats were high up and when you sit that high up, why do people think they have to get up and block your veiw because they want to stand up. A woman behind me was whistling those high pitched whistles, and I HATE THAT RIGHT IN MY EAR! So I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to move over there where the seats were empty. He said "Absolutley!" We felt cramped in our seats over there, and basically we felt more comfortable being separated from ignorant people. CAMERS WERE NOT ALLOWED! I did get to walk in with it but I could not take any photos. I tried to take at least 2 but security kept looking up at me. So I walked down to him and said, "I paid good money for my seats and I demand a picture! Stevie Nicks doesn't care if you take pictures of her, and why St.Louis has to be this way I'll never understand." This "kid" practically told me, well you need to stop, and I said, " Well I might as well because I can't get a good picture anyway. And let your boss know that he needs to place it up on the company web site and on the ticket stubs." That is the bad news with a little bit of good.

Stevie came out from behind the stage wearing a black dress, the boots, and a beautiful sparkling red cape. A cape that I have never seen before. "Stand Back" was the first song followed by Outside The Rain and blended with "Dreams". She made a state ment saying, "I hope it stops raining in Iowa..." I assume commenting on the flooding. She sang, "If Anyone Falls", and told us about PBS Soundstage and that introduced us to "Crash", Followed by "Rhiannon." (after that song was played some people got up and left. That's some people for ya, they hear what they what they want to hear and leave.) She told us about the BuckinghamNicks album and how itwas dropped by the record company and her and Lindsey worked on this song together..."Sorcerer", followed by "Face The Promise" a Bob Seger cover from his last studio album. She walked backstage and put on the "Gold Dust Woman" cape and began to sing a timeless classic. She broke out into "Fall From Grace". She told us about her dad. She says, "Even when we are up here on this stage, he is always with us, so we never feel sad because we know he's with us. Everybody seems to think I wrote this about my father, when I really wrote it for me and Lindsey, so let me say that while I am singing this if you wouldn't mind looking at the screen behind us you can see what a wonderful person my dad was." She started to sing "Landslide", and watching the screen behind her she was showing alot of family images and images of herself throughout the years. It was a little sad. On a more sexyer note, "How Still My Love". She made this song very sexy, slowing taking her cape off and twirling it around her head as if she were going to seduce you. She walks back to her little black backstage box, and changes into the white dress for "Edge Of Seventeen". she did make her way around the stage to greet fans before she began to walk back again, to grab the black top hat with white feathers in it and kicks in with "Rock N' Roll". To close the night with a tribute to our soldiers, "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?" Was so still and quiet. She took her bow and said thank you and walked away, and that would be the last time that I will see her until we meet again in the future, I will be on the floor in the front and have my turn to touch her hand.

This was the pictures that I took. They are the same pic, but one is cropped and zoomed and lightened. This was when she came out and sang "Stand Back". This was the only picture that I had taken.

Ha, next concert I should leave during Rhiannon. That will really confuse her.

Starting the show in red?? I didn't think she was allowed to make her entrance in anything other than black!! Thanks for the review and the pic. That cape does look fabulous!
