Default Lindsey's Heart??

Am I the only one who can see that Lindsey is still in love with Stevie? I can find nothing of late regarding their feelings for each other. I saw a fairly recent video clip where Lindsey was singing ‘Never go Back’, which he wrote about her and he paused for a minute and you could see that he was feeling her and then he got all choked up. Both Lindsey and Stevie have written dozens of songs about the love that they share. They seem like a modern day Immortal Beloved. Each of them has revealed themselves to me in their music, and I love them for that, which is why I am consumed by their love issues. I believe that Stevie keeps her feelings hidden better than Lindsey, from what videos I have seen of him singing to her or about her. I believe that Stevie has always and continues to “taunt” Lindsey with her lyrics that hit you like a slap in the face. Nearly every song that he has composed lately seems to be about her. Perhaps its Lindsey’s marriage or perhaps it’s their passion for their music that continues this spectacle, but nothing would please me more than the two of them getting together.

They will never be together again...they are only connected romantically through their songs now.

No, I see it too. Lindsey loves her so much that it clouds his eyes with tears, & his spirits are ruthless with the paths they choose. But no one's to blame. They will be together in another life, in a parallel universe, where the women are lazy & the men are rude.

What? You mean that phony Beethoven movie? Yes, yes, I see it now. Stevie is Lindsey's sister-in-law -- the Queen of the Night -- & he is obviously a misanthropic Handel & Palestrina idolater.

Me, too. I want to experience vicariously the Buckingham-Nicks 40-plus-year sex drive.

But where does Christine figure into all this? Is she the Princess Lichnowsky, the surrogate mother with the sad breast situation?

LOL...I bet they would too, only not vicariously, although they may settle for that...

Default Shut us down?

This was writen by Linsdey in 2005

Oh you and I, we sure can dream
Of conversations that might have been
I know that I treat you unkind
And long ago I lost my mind
And even after all these years
Though I can't even see you clear
I know it's you
Must lie sometimes
To hide the truth
You're trying to find
Oh I shut us down
No I will stay around
As long as I can
As long as I can

Even after all these years
I can't even see you clear
A child is born
Another dies
And every life has its price
No I shut us down
No I will stay around
As long as I can
As long as I can

This is certainly writen for Stevie, indicating that he is still waiting for her.

I used to hope and think that the two of them were still in love, but it has been over thirty years now. I don't think that they are "in love" but I do think that they perhaps love each other as people and care a lot about one another. But Lindsay has a wife and children, a family, and I think that he has moved on from Stevie.

But the again, I guess I could be wrong~

I took it as "shut us down" meaning he wouldn't shut Buckingham Nicks down. Their love affair is on stage. If you want to really hear a heartbreaker that I think is about the Lindsey Stevie relationship, listen to Castaway Dreams. There is just too much imagery there for it not to be about her.

If you look at the lyrics in all of the songs in 'Under the Skin', his latest CD, you will find that nearly every song is about her. No Question. What does his wife have to say about that? Also, look at these lyrics from 'Its not too late'.

Reading the paper saw a review
Said I was a visionary, but nobody knew
Now that's been a problem
feeling unseen
Just like I'm living somebody's dream

What am I doing anyway
Telling myself it's not too late

I'm not a young man but I'm a child in
my soul
I feel there's room for songs that
are sung
For chances not taken for deeds not
yet done

What am I doing anyway
Telling myself it's not too late

My children look away they don't know
what to say
My children look away they don't know
what to say

So that's been a problem
feeling unheard
So called visions always deferred
It must be the reason I developed
this need
You know you should never believe
what you read

What am I doing anyway
Telling myself it's not too late

My children look away they don't know
what to say
My children look away they don't know
what to say

Come on. That song is CLEARLY about Lindsey's need/want for critical validation. It's not about Kristin or Stevie or any chick at all. It's all about Lindsey's big ole EGO.

She told Rolling Stone that she was in love with Stevie, too, & that she therefore couldn't really blame her husband.

On the last tour, I felt just as yall do. You can feel the intensity between them. I guess it will remain a wish for us all, but chances are it will never happen again....lighting strikes maybe once maybe twice. They will always be soulmates.
