What I'd love to see is someday Stevie doing some sort of a set where maybe someone she trusts is on piano, like Sheryl. And Sheryl sort of goes where she wants to musically, and Stevie sort of follows along. Like "After The Glitter Fades" could then morph into "Straight Back" and then something ancient and obscure like "If You Were My Love", even if it's just a scant chorus or two. But I think that we'll never hear anything on stage from Stevie that hasn't been on an official release (either from her or from another artist). I think to her, or her handlers, they would be afraid this would make people all the more interested in these unreleased tracks and search for them online.

i personally think unless she has a profound reason to do it, she's not going to switch it up.

i've always wanted to have a 2-thread part survey. one, everyone spitting out any song they would like to see added to the setlist. the second being the survivor and finally a winner of the song ledgies want added and send it to stevie.

for soundstage, she added sara to the setlist because a producer (was it the producer?) asked and nearly begged her to. she HAD to do it

if we could all come to an agreement on one song, and as a group ask her to play it....

yeah, i just woke up

PBS traditionally airs a Soundstage season in two parts -- from January to March and then from June to August. Give or take a week.
Sometimes they don't start back until July. When that happens, they run through September.

My assumpton has been that Stevie's Soundstage will kick off the second half of the current season, in June. Which would seem to be corroborated by her touring in June & July.

However, if GlennGlenn was told "Fall 2008," then it sounds like they'll be using Stevie's show to END the season.

Talk to Me needs to return. It was so good on the Street Angel Tour, which I believe was the last tour she did that song. I'm still waiting for Nightbird, which is probably a lost cause, but one can always hope.

Based on last night's show, no.

Or maybe a FEW people could make some signs and discreetly hold them up at the next show: Mohegan Sun Arena. Don't be rude, but if people could let HER know their interests directly, maybe it would help. (I just woke up, too)

Someone else posted they'd like to hear any two different songs from all her albums. I like that idea.

The only way you can vote is with your feet (ie, don't go) or maybe with your signs if you already have tickets and want to try to make contact.

Speaking of "Some Become Strangers" as a surprise song, it was one of the songs I plotted if I were going to do a Stevie show.

The setlist:

I Need To Know
Dreams
Some Become Strangers
Enchanted
Gold Dust Woman
Sisters Of The Moon
Stand Back
It's Only Love
Rhiannon
Beautiful Child
Fall From Grace
Edge of Seventeen
Rock And Roll
Destiny Rules

I think it all comes down to the fact that Stevie is afraid to switch it up. Keep in mind that for the "Enchanted" tour, which has probably her most switched up set list ever, she apoligized for doing songs that "no one is going to know". I love Stevie, but she really underestimates her audience. And it all goes back to the "Rumours" album, before the album came out they did a short tour featuring songs from the album (including "Silver Springs"). The set didn't work with the crowd, so they never did that again.
She forgets that in 1976 many people were still really wanting to hear "Oh Well" and "Hypnotized" so to hear new songs by new people wasn't going to work. If Stevie were to totally switch her set list up (as most artists do) she would very surprised to hear how well it goes over.
According to the article the house was only half full for the other night's show, we'll see what it looks like tonight. If she continues to keep doing the same set over and over, tour after tour, she can expect to be playing the Wolf's Den next time she comes to Mohegan Sun. For those that don't know, the Wolf's Den is the free concert area in the middle of one of the casinos, you can get a seat, or you can sit at a slot machine and watch the show. Or just catch it as you walk thru the casino.

She is promoting the Soundstage concert -- so that will be her setlist. I think she thinks that "Crash" is a welcome change and constitutes the change this year a la Circle Dance, Rock and Roll, SYWTBARRS - is the last three shows. I also think that when you have been around as long as her, the seven or so songs that have to be in the set crowd the set. Having said that - she really should realize that Enchanted, Sorcerer, and the other non-hits are readily replaceable and she should make the effort.

That's just it, she has been around long enough that she could do almost anything from her catalog. Look at people like Springsteen, he does shows where he doesn't do "Born In The USA" or "Dancing In The Dark" or any of his huge hits. The reviews for those shows are usually his best.
Stevie could do a total SOLO set and drop "Rhiannon", "Landslide", "Gold Dust Woman" etc and fans would still be happy as can be. You would almost think that with a Fleetwood Mac tour supposedly in the plans that she would lay off the Mac songs on this outing. From her perspective alone I have to think she gets tired singing the same songs night after night.
I'm about ready to head out the door down to the casino, we'll see if she's as on fire tonight as she was last year!

^^

and - she grew a set and dropped Landslide for the TISL shows for that very reason - she said she knew FM was going on tour in a year or so. Some fans complained, but from what I saw, they still had a good time.

Have fun and take my advice and ignore the ATM's in the casino

The thing is, if people stop coming because she doesn't change the setlist, she would never figure out that was the reason. She'd attribute the dwindling box office to other things.

And, in all fairness to her, she has been singing mostly the same set list for three years and the people are still coming

On edit - maybe she views the mini tour with Henley and the summer with Petty as breaks in her touring schedule that showed change.
