I think any demo that Stevie had put together, regardless if it were later used by FM, counts as a 'Stevie-Only' cut for the desert island set.
For example, 'Running Through The Garden' which eventually made it to a FM album but was known to most of us a Stevie-only demo for many years.

LOL...I'd be happy to just listen to Landslide for all of eternity on my little island....but if I have to choose, I say Stevie Solo

Which will it be?

I say FM songs all the way. It is my humble opinion that her solo songs ( with a few exceptions) are secondary in quality.

Whoa...CatDancer, I rarely come on here to post, and then usually when I do it's to check up on the Sandy Stewart question. But just as I was reading your post here and your sig ("Dear God..."), well, Stevie was singing that exact line on my itunes. Isn't that wEiRd?!?!

Maybe i should come here more often.

If I had to choose only ONE CD of Stevie songs, it would be all the FM stuff. I just love Fireflies, Landslide and Sara too much. Her solo stuff is great, but nothing compares to those.

So that must mean you were listening to the song Trouble in Shangri-La?

Default which would u choose

hi guys...another great topic...i'm going with her fm songs and here's the reason why...from the white album and rumours this was vocally stevie's best...as much as i love bella donna and wild heart the songs that were the most played on the media were sdmha and leather and lace and of course edge...i think stevie is a terrific song writer and if u asked me i'd say the best of all times but at times the production of those songs wasn't done very well and some of the greatest demos...julia, lady from the mnts,we're even included on any of her cds...so frustrating bc her career if handled correctly could have topped the queen of pop...take care...pat

Pray tell who is the queen of pop?!?!? In your opinion, of course.

I'd have to push Madonna (physically, if possible) into the Queen of Dance/Electronica category at this point, thus crowning...um...Olivia Newton-John as someone with a lotta hits who was(is?) actually pop. But I'd love to hear your take (and forgive me if it's been said before, I am not a regular).

Ms. Fox, I was actually listening to TiSL -- the demo, which I'd been listening to for the first time ever, courtesy of this site. But yes, it was TiSL that gave me the shiver-y, creepy, coincidence vibe whilst reading CatDancer's sig.

Cheers,

Robb

post FM was so different. that was more my era, so that, but Seven Wonders would be nice to have on that CD. Who would be making it anyways? They dont flex any?

the fm stuff is good, but i think solo stevie has more character, ha, like said up a couple, dramatic flair. if held back or not, with fm, she was more mature with more life exp. & able to articulate better.

would this cd have some bikini pics of her & sharon plz ?
