A Ledgie wants to know: Economy Edition

Fortunately, my job is mostly immune from economic changes - knock on wood.

I got rid of my house a year or so ago and I have no car anymore (I use zip car) because I am trying, as you know, to move to Manhattan. So, I think the economic downturn could actually help me there in that rents could be lowered or effectively lowered as a result.

I have, however, lost a bundle in my 401(k) and such. But, history demonstrates that a diversified portfolio, over the long run, is fairly safe - and I am not retiring anytime soon, much to my regret.

Of course, like Vera Charles - I spend way more than I make. I need to marry well (again )
