Can you honestly tell me you would have hauled out there looked as disheveled as that Me thinks you'd have looked fierce and ready to cut a bitch. But, I could be wrong

oh no honey. as they say, Covergirl don't cover boy...I'd have my MAC in tow. innate (sp?) ferocity comes in levels. she's obviously a 2. and I'm, well, off the scales.

I'd look fierce on the news as they hauled my ass to jail for killing him.

oh strand, just as there is no real LGBT community, there is no sisterhood of the vadge. i submit any "sisterhood" among women is purely superficial and underneath there is a culture of competition and backstabbing. in this regard women have a lot to learn from men, who compete for hegemony overtly and largely without personal feelings getting tangled in the mess. this pervasive notion of a one-for-all-and-all-for-one attitude in female culture is inaccurate and, i think, harmful.

Rubbish (mostly) -- if there is one thing that unites the Vadgsters ( ) it is the group attack of a straying man and the unwillingness to hear a word against the poor wife

i think you're projecting an anti-man attitude onto my posts. there can be many reasons ES betrayed his wife; we'll probably never know the truth of the situation. what i find ridiculous is saying that her appearance at what must have been a very humiliating public function justifies or rationalizes it.

I never said that her losing her looks caused him to cheat. I said that in general, that is what motivates some if not mnost men to look elsewhere.

Moreover, you are still missing the point, which is, I suppose, one of revenge. IF she hauled out looking great, it would have been revenge. Her looking the way she did in that photo has nothing IMO to do with why he strayed because I think she, while no longer young, is still a very attractive woman with a nice figure.

I seem to recall the night that The Prince and Princess of Wales were divorced, Diana went out that evening to a benefit in a skin-tight, sensational off the shoulder 'little black dress', dripping in pearls and sapphires and with a gorgeous variation on her normal haircut. Revenge was hers that night. Anyone remember that 'liberation' outfit?

As Faye Dunaway said in 'Mommie Dearest': "It's a sword that cuts both ways..."

i was commenting on hejira's original post - "can you blame the dude?" which rationalized ES's cheating based on her appearance. you seemed to support that statement.

i get the revenge thing. but as jazzy noted, she may just have a low inherent fierceness quotient

and finally, just to clarify my position, i think the misandry so often found in current discourse tiresome and pernicious.

and to great fanfare from the chicks (dare I sat the Vagsters ) around here - they lauded Diana's "getting" of the bastard Charles

If there were problems, try talking to one another, go to counseling...I don't give a crap if she wasn't "giving him what he needed" or whatever. Rationalize it all you want. There's no excuse for cheating in a marriage. NONE.

You may have your view, but that does not negate that the Vadgsters unite when it comes to a cheating man

i still maintain that the sisterhood of the vadgesters ( ) is a superficial one and pretty much meaningless
