According to another recently-unearthed TV Guide, CBS studio chiefs were so pleased Big Trouble in Shangri-La's ratings that they immediately greenlit several follow-up telepics for Stevie. During the mid-to-late '70s, Stevie starred in a steady stream of notable Movies-of-the-Week as well as a fistfull of brash, grindhouse-style films that exploited her action-gal persona. Years later, Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton and Jamie Lee Curtis all claimed to have taken their cues from Stevie's raw, gritty performances as Gypsy "Knuckle" Lee in "Standing in a Line...of FIRE!" or heavy metal-rocking crime-solver Roberta Flacksabbath in "Dare My Wild Heart.... of Darkness!"
I'm sure I'll dig up the original TV Guide advertisements. Someone must be archiving these important cultural moments. They must, right?

LOL! This made me laugh especially today because I was an extra in the Funplex video yesterday!

Sorry, they were wearing the black and white outfits from the album cover. There were Taco Tiki girls there, but Cindy wasn't one of them. If I made it onto the final video I'll point myself out to you when it comes out. From what I got to see of the filming it's going to be really fun.

I always feel compelled to make CD covers for tracks, etc. that don't have one. I wish I had the ability to produce lenticular covers (3D holographic).

I second that: Absolutely brilliant. That is so funny, I don't know where to begin. Stevie has the power! If anyone could bring a monster back from the dead, it would be Stevie. I like the fact that you chose Young Frankenstein for the pic.

BY THE POWER OF STEVIE ..... oh sorry, that was Grayskull

We need an animated Stevie television series like
She-ra: Princess of Power.

Okay, my mind is going off in weird directions.
