Loved the Beatles tribute. Loved Vince Gill and his little joke to Kanye about a Beatle giving ME an award. lol LOVED Cher and Tina Turner is the best!! She has the talent that most of those new kids wish they had. Loved Tina and Beyonce singing together. Would love to see more of the older musicians/singers on these types of shows instead of all these newbies of the last few years. I don't care about Amy Winehouse and pretty tired of hearing about her. I don't think she deserved that many nominees and she doesn't have that much talent. I guess if you're in rehab and a very troubled person, it will bring you more fame than you deserve. At least her parents were by her side.

It definitely was a bit better this year than in past years.

Bitch looked great for MY age.

I only watched bits & pieces, as I was busy watching a hockey player get his throat slashed during the Sabres game last night (he's OK.) I have the Grammy's on the DVR & plan on watching it later tonight.

it was an okay song but that vocal was not grammy-worthy. heaven, heartache, and power of love, however? ... killer.

Exactly! I thought the same, as the other songs you mentioned were much better..

since when does an award validate if an album is a great piece of art? Sorry, but if you are a 'musician' seeking that validation then you my friend are in the music business for the wrong reasons.

Smile

I watched until 9:30 p.m. & I taped the rest which I'll probably watch tonight, but the highlight was for me was Tina & Beyonce. I'm not really a Beyonce fan, more a Tina fan, but I thought they both did an excellent job. I went looking for a list of winners & was glad that Maroon 5 got an award. I was also pleasantly surprised to see this:

Country Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals: "How Long," Eagles

I don't think of this as a country song (the CD is really good), but I guess it is. Jeez, have I gone country?
