The school professionally filmed the entire evening (including Stevie's set). I'm sure they cannot get permission to release any of her footage officially, but since it exists I wonder if it might turn up unofficially someday.

I hope so. Stevie looks and sounds wonderful. I love the extreme closeup shot of Stevie during Landslide.

I felt like she sufferring all the way through Edge. My throat started to hurt just listening.

I just watched all the youtube vids. I wasn't thrilled with her voice.

She seems a bit off to my ears, but that's JMO. Can't put my finger on it. I did hear some vibrato on IAF, so that was a nice surprise. But not her best performance for me. Looks like she was having a really good time, though, and she looks really good.

I agree with you, a little. I disagree with the word choice of 'suffering', but one does hear a bit of discomfort in Edge, and R&R. If she was suffering, she certainly put on the brave face...the show must go on!

Of course - she could speak the whole song instead of singing it.

She did it a lot in the RAL tour

If we could ever see her crouch down to the floor and start screaming the verses before the wail - I'd die (a little).

And I could go further by telling Stevie that she needs to just get over it and wear the white shawl that she used to wear in the 80's during the song. It's not gonna kill her. She could wear black underneath for all I care. Just whip the damn white shawl out! And the white boots!

I think the downside of doing these one-off shows is that she does not have the time/opportunity to properly train/strengthen her voice, so her vocal stamina is not what it could be. Accordingly, she is singing like a bird for If Anyone Falls, but then practically speaks by the time Edge of Seventeen rolls around. Still, it was cool to see a little of that HBO concert-era bopping, even without the feathered hair flapping.

Hopefully Joe Thomas will have those vocal chords whipped into shape by the time she hits Reading.

hey Liam Mconville i am soo upset and happy for yout to get away with such treasures, i think i remember reading early on in the forum that you are the same age as i am. that was my first stevie concert, and I wanted so bad to be there for the edge walk, and just to shake her hand , and i am so upset i think I am going to die, haha how did you guys know that the guard was going to let ppl go down there...and just yea, haha i am don't know what to say i am upset with myself, so sorry everybody if i am kind of venting, please help me feel better, haha.

You'll get your chance! I sat there for the first five minutes of Edge watching the other side of the stadium, seeing if they were letting people from the terrace seats down to the floor, and the second I saw that they were, me and my date got up and ran down to the empty side of the stage.

I had no idea they were going to let EVERYONE down for the edge walk, I was in section 208 and after they let the performers up front, it was like they opened up the flood gates and everyone just started running to the stage - everyone who knew what was up I should say - the 70 year olds stayed in their seat and I had to crawl over them to get to the opening to the floor.
