Default Server issues this week?

I've noticed slowness this week, at first I thought it was my cable connection at home or my laptop- but both yesterday and now, I am using my PC at work on a very fast LAN, and it's crawling. Especially when adding a new post or replying to one.

All my other bookmarks as well as any other Web page I alight on load instantaneously. Only the Ledge loads at a snail's pace, or times out altogether. And this happens to me every visit to the site. So I don't think it's you, Pete.

Well, I did the little trick Marty taught me with the kill command. Maybe it will be a little faster now. I don't think it will ever be lightning fast with this configuration though.

Hey, Michele, it's poppin' around pretty good for me now! Whatever you did, it seems to have sped things up a bit for me!

Now if only Romy would post again.

Testing one, two, three. I always find the Olsen twins work nicely when recalibrating precision equipment.

p.s good job, it's working as it should now.

Is is slowing down again. I noticed it last night at home on my laptop, and noticed it just now on my pc at work (and I'm on a very fast LAN).

Default Server grinding to a halt again?

You're killing me here. 5 minutes to post a reply to something, with no pic attached either.

Maybe the server needs to be rebooted...

Well, there was some DNS problem where I couldn't even get access to the server to try to speed it up. But I have now and hopefully it will be faster.

and so it is. Thanks.

p.s I work in IT so I know how challenging it can be. I ought to be more patient, but instead I become the 'annoying user'.

I've been trying to edit a post for several minutes with no luck.
