I like this photo because it is a candid....but at the same time...I feel like a voyeur...like she's in a private moment...

Is this photo from Toyko? I thought they were cramped for space....

I don't know in what city it was taken and where did you read or hear about their accomodations? I'd love to hear that story.

the 33rd show on The Tusk Tour
February 3,1980
Tokyo, Japan
Venue: Budokan
first of three shows in Tokyo

This photo was taken in Tokyo,1980

There's another photo I can't seem to locate of Stevie signing an autograph for a Japanese woman outside a magazine shop and wearing a pretty fur coat.
Maybe someone else can post it.

the 34th show on the Tusk Tour
February 4,1980
Tokyo, Japan
Venue: Budokan
2nd night of 3 shows in Tokyo

I have this show on cassette and this is my review: The Chain is shorter than usual. Dreams is wonderful. Rhiannon is pretty good and the ending vocals in Sara are very good. Lindsey sings part of Never Going Back Again acapella. He and Stevie are very much into the song Angel. Lindsey sings I'm So Afraid slightly different than his usual way.

Christine and Stevie performing the song Tusk

Those shots you're talking about all ran in Hit Parader back in 1980 or so. It was a sort of profile of the band in Japan. There was another shot of Stewart Copeland sitting at a table with Christine, her arm in a cast.

Are you sure it wasn't CREEM Magazine?

Nope. It was Hit Parader April 1981 issue with Mac on the cover. The artwork was poorly reproduced (ghost images, sloppy lineups) -- typical of that rag.
