Oh, the usual. An appearance on Tyra Banks to promote her Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue appearance, then another album chock full of new recordings.
I wish she would just slow down, cover up (a black outfit might be a refreshing change), and bring back some of the forgotten classics like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon". I miss them so.
And maybe, please please, she could give an interview where she finally spills the beans about her relationship with Lindsey in the '70s. You'd think she never cared, the way he hardly comes up in her songs and interviews after all these years. And how come she never ever speaks about what it was like to detox off the Klonopin?! I've always wondered.
Or maybe she could, for like one summer, just leave some unreleased songs in the vault and finally go on the road to do other people's songs, like Tom Petty's or Don Henley's? She never does that.
Oh, wait! I just had a premonition! What if we could read somewhere that Vanessa Carlton actually got a shawl from her and now feels inspired. That would make my summer.
Yes, following her has been a whirlwind of excitement these past few summers. ~~These are the moments I live for ~~
(Forgive me. In my boredom of late I have unraveled the chiffon from my head, and lo and behold, the sarcasm remains even after the glitter fades. )
