this is one of those things that I'm so tired of in this community. the poor woman can't **** without people speculating what color, size, shape and texture it may be. let ole girl do whatever it is she's doing and if it is some more rehashions, then let all systems fire. as we are all aware, news reports are often wrong. since this is the first peep we've heard, it may not even be true at all...

Listen, 'The Lady' does NOT defecate, thank you very much! She stopped doing that after the white album.

I beg to differ. I've heard Street Angel.

I feel your frustration, Jaz. But in fairness, we're talking about an artist who does not update us with official news of her plans (especially through her website) as quickly as many other artists do, so naturally people will speculate - especially since we often read correct things elsewhere before they are announced by her people. Add to that the euphoria many of us felt when the Mac reunited for The Dance, & then the brilliant solo TISL album. All this just a few years after lethargic performances, & talk of quitting the music business within five years to paint (remember that interview around TimeSpace?). And what still rings in my ears is when she got off the tranquilizers & said that the days of four or five years between (solo) albums are over. But still we wait. So naturally many of us are used to getting our hopes up & then (a bit) dashed, & we end up sounding cynical. You've every right to call us on that, but I think better communication from the artist might help solve the problem. JMO

here, here very well stated. While Stevie is entitled to do her own thing without everyone totally over-analyzing every move she makes, its not like we have much to go on most of the time, so what would we do on here besides speculate a tantilizing piece of news

no, I agree with what you're saying. my chiffonease has changed over the past couple of years, for sure. my point was just not to take a one liner and jump to so many conculsions. that's all. could be a misprint.

I had the scratch and sniff one - reflected on it in a hologram design was a portrayal of the bomb she allegedly left unflushed in a stall a few years before

Agreed, but I tend to think that a large part of Stevie's appeal is about the veil of mystery she keeps. She touches us with her music, but she does not touch us in the physical sense. By contrast, can you imagine if Stevie started up a blog, or, heaven forbid, started posting her daily diary entries into a blog? Although we would be fascinated at first, I can imagine that we would grow tired of it after a while. She will start to seem like a normal, unremarkable person who just happens to have an extraordinary job. I would like to think that she always floats around her oceanfront penthouse wearing the Bella Donna dress with the parrot in one hand and a tambourine in the other, and a wind/fog machine is constantly blowing. But the reality is that she is probably wearing a black tunic with fuzzy slippers, hair rollers and no make-up. I just don't need or want to know about this reality

Speculating about her career and about her songs is half the fun and keeps us wanting more. She knows exactly what she is doing.

This is true. and i was just thinking about this yesterday, watching mtvs life of ryan. (the one about the pro skater) and i was thinking, ya know is it really necessary for me to watch this guy have breakfast. play mini golf and chill in the hotel room? Then when he shows up at the events and does cool tricks and stuff, all i can think is "He likes Captain Crunch". this is the problem with "now" celebrities and artist. I feel spoiled getting up-to-the minute myspace bulletins from other bands i like. The speculation is part of the fun with her.
Im glad that stevie keeps the mystery and does not have a daily blog, or any of that.
And as usual, I keep no expectations. so JUST a DVD is a total thrill. ANYTHING else is just icing on the cake.

I completely agree...Stevie is certainly no fool. Stevie is the kind of person who gets involved in something once the ball starts rolling. For example, the TwoVoices tour, that turned into the huge Gold Dust Tour and lasted the entire summer of 2005, and it all started with 4 shows in Vegas, and later Don Henley. Since she is in the studio, the momentum is there, so it might give her a push to record new material...it's like a snowball affect.

There's no way in hell I'm buying another "best of" cd form Stevie or FM whether it's live or not!!!!!! Give me a cd containing new material or don't insult my intelligence(wallet) and try to spoon feed me the same old repackaged list of hits. Ihave all the cds, dvds, etc.

BTW, if she wants to try to sell more live performances of the same old stuff, I won't buy it, but I'll watch on YouTube.

This will be a nice crisp professionally shot DVD. The first one since Rock a little. (which was a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago.and has diferent songs than this one will. FFG,HSML,IAF,R&R Sorcerer,CRASH, ECt,) I also enjoy some youtube viewing. But im sick of bootlegs. and will be glad to have a cd come WITH the DVD. (again, not force fed, but added with the DVD as a BONUS), i am NOT technologically gifted enough to be able to even know where to begin "ripping audio from a DVD. so to me, and others like myself, THIS is good news.
Still EXCITED!
