Wow, I have no idea what everyone is smoking here, but have any of you seen how these concert DVD/CD packages work? The CD is just the audio of the DVD, usually with fewer songs, thereby making the CD redundant. This is just how these things work.
The CD won't have unreleased gems, it won't be a country album, it won't have awesome rare stuff, it'll be an audio of the DVD.
Now if she's actually recording an album in ADDITION to tweaking the DVD, then that's different. But Stevie has said she's taking this year off from doing anything big, so I wouldn't bet on that either.
Finally if Stevie's track record holds up, this release won't see the light of day until the late summer or fall.
That's just how it is. But I suppose those who chose to can live in their fantasy world and these wild concepts can become reality.

Thank you. For a minute there I was wondering if we were still talking about the same person.

Default soundstage

well once again i believe Al is right...altho i'd love for stevie to be releasing new material i highly doubt she's doing it in nashville...this has to be a live cd from the soundstage dvd...i think the fact that the producer of the soundstage dvd lives in nashville is the reason she's there...anyway i'm just glad it looks like the soundstage dvd will be released rather than shelved like the live show in melbourne...take care...pat

I'm not looking to pop anyones balloon, I'm just stating a fact. Everyone posts on here what they think is happening in Nashville and then when it's discovered that that's not at all what was happening the board is loaded with people bitching about it. Having been a Stevie fan for a very long time now, I've been thru this before many times. What you want, and what you get are two very different things. Come in out of the darkness people.

I SOOO agree with you and Al here Pat.. It HAS to be the CD to accompany the DVD to Soundstage totally.. I'd LOVE some new material as well.. but that's all wishful thinking.

Default I realize....

that everything at this point is speculation...but geez....now I wish I had never posted this at all. It does say RECORDING a CD. I dont care if it is just overdubs or whatever...I will be glad to have live versions of these songs if that is all it is. I do believe that if this is that kind of CD, that we will get songs that are not on Crystal Visions or Live In Boston.

I didn't realize all of the people with negative opinions on here had all of the right facts and all of the positive people had the wrong facts. The only thing we have to go on is this one quote, so why is it that we're all smoking something if we're all speculating on what our opinions/thoughts are on this project? I guess no one is allowed to have any thoughts or opinions because that this just unrealistic.

One can have all the opinions and thoughts they want. I'm just saying the odds are that the CD that is being worked on is the companion disc to the DVD ie. the audio version of the DVD. I could be completely wrong, but if I had to wager money on this I would bet that it's just a companion CD. Which by the way, I am more than happy with. People can speculate all they want, the trouble is these speculations turn into expectations and excitement builds for what might be. But when that doesn't happen everyone bitches about it. Speculation is fine, but try to keep it reality based.

i think we all have differing opinions and thats what makes us individuals...nothing wrong with dreaming as i'm probably 1 of the biggest dreamers on this board or the other 4 im on...that being said i think if stevie was recording a brand new album not just the live from soundstage she would release it on it's own just like the rest of her solo projects...i'm loving the fact that we'll get a cd from soundstage bc not a lot of fans got to go to that show...i tried a day after the announcement came out and wasn't able to get tickets and i'm a citibank card holder...i think most of us are happy she's making a cd at all and i can't wait for it to hit the stores...peace out...pat

after 107 posts on these boards, i'm surprised you haven't come to the conclusion that usually around these parts, the term reality based coupled with the name stevie nicks really aren't synonymous with one another.

that aside, i wholly agree with the aforementioned statement of it simply being a companion disc a la every other soundstage performance released en mass and i wouldn't be surprised if the audio was being remixed. it wouldn't be the first time an artist added vocals to a live performance

Two things I wanted to point out. 1. If it's the same producer as soundstage then it's prob. all about the soundstage music but if it's an actual new recording of Stevies' music you might want to keep in mind that 2. Sheryl Crow now considers Nashville her home.
