If you want access to the Trades or Images folder, you need to pay first. Yeah, crappy is the right word.

Sorry, I meant you have to be a paying member to view those forums. For a couple of weeks now I think. It was to encourage memberships to help with the running costs of the site. Lots of people protested about it especially because they didn't give a warning it was happening, just did it.

My Short Response:

You came here and called it your new home when you were booted off 7w.
You 'won' a box of goodies that a ledgie was giving to another ledgie.
You promised to share the box of goodies with all ledgies.
You started off strong and everyone was very appreciative.
You were welcomed back at 7w.
You stopped uploading without any explanation and stopped posting here. You were posting over at 7w. (not uploading over there, just posting, so you were around and could have came here and said somthing about the broken cd-rom, is my point)
You have taken a few people's complaints and tried to call it a "tone of this board" issue and you turned it into a reason to take your box of goodies and not come back.
You even gave us a parting shot with 'if i am ever able to upload again, i won't be posting them here.' - Did you have your tounge out while you typed this?
How classy.

Hopefully someone who has access to wherever you do post them will be kind enough to share them with us.

Although i think it is fantastic that people have added some wonderful uploads, I thought the main purpose of the thread was YOU sharing what was given to you by someone on this board, not just another place for anyone to post random mp3s. When you were gifted the box of goodies you went on and on about how you were gonna make sure that EVERYONE on the ledge shared in your good fortune.

Why are you surprised that people were asking what happened when you completely stopped without explanation? There was plenty of positive energy coming your way while you were doing what you said you were gonna do. Then, when you were welcomed back at 7W with open arms, suddenly all the love you had for this place was gone and the uploads to this thread dried right up. So then, who created the negative energy?

I think it would be a shame for anyone to post what audio they wish to share solely on 7W and not here or at other boards as well. This stuff is meant to be shared with anyone who would like to enjoy it.

That is why I think the decision made by the moderators and owners of the other board was so wrong and unfair to everyone. There are other ways to manage the costs of running a board like that one. Ways that would be fair to every member. I don't feel that the contribution someone makes to a forum should be judged by how much they are willing to or can pay or by how high thier post count is. There were a lot of people who added a lot to the now off-limits sections in content or even just good humor and pleasant conversation that now are not able to. And that doesn't do the board as a whole any good at all.

Everything I am posting I am putting up because I want to. And I mean for it to go to anyone who wants it and not just a select few. No one should feel they have to pay (for whatever reason) to access what traders love to share and are willing to share for free with no strings attached, IMO.

I do apologize to anyone I may have offended with anything I've said in this thread. It wasn't my intention.

I am currently uploading the Wild Heart tour. It should be posted in another day or two.

I don't post here much - I am thankful for what demos have been posted since I am still new to getting into Stevie's demos.

I am a younger Stevie fan, and I want to say how childish it sounds to be fighting over -what demos are being posted or not. It's really not worth your energy to get upset over something like this now is it? If it is worth it your a pretty lucky person because I wish I had more free time to make it worth my time to fight with people.

This post isn't meant in a "fighting" tone, just a calm tone because I think it's needed. There are more ways to get demos then Barb's posts and I know that already after finding my first demos less then 6 months ago.

I am sorry it seemed I had forgotten. I certainly did not. It was MY idea to post the cds. I am sure Tiffany would not want fighting over
her collection, that was not the thought that it was given in, which was a very Positive and nice gesture.

It was my thought that Tiffany offered the collection to the "first person who PMed her" with nothing in the post about "only if you will share it on the Internet", that was MY idea, after I won. I am sorry I am not able to share right now, but people bitching because I cannot, really doesn't endear me to want to.

I didn't see anything in Tiff's original post about the "point of the collection being given" as being to copy and post all the cds to message boards, Tiff just said she wanted to let it go, and hoped a fan would enjoy it. The sharing was all my idea, and I am sorry that I have not been able to continue that, I should have known if for some reason I wasn't able to, I would get the snarky quips.

As soon as I am able to, I will, no dates given or implied.
And I didn't see your post on the other board, I don't read all the threads, maybe it was one I posted in but never returned to, I don't have time or interest to go to all the Stevie message board, to check them all 24/7. I belong to many "non celebrity" craft boards, and there is just no time to see it all.

I don't wish to fight with anyone, and hope you all have a great New Year.
Seems like a lot of people are sharing here, so I don't understand the problem, that I am not able to right now.

Um, I can't quote Tiff's post on the board. I was 100% confident that SHE had mentioned something about whomever gets them carrying on the torch of sharing. But, I could totally be wrong. And as someone else said, if you yourself said you would share w/out Tiff's influence of the notion, then you ought to continue thru w/ it. Notice it's not me sharing. I mean, I couldn't possibly take on the task, and Tiff was seeking someone that could.
With all the BS of "that other board" nonsense, many people that are offended by it are seeking what they had offered over here on the Ledge. Taking your toys and retreating is uncool. I think more anger is directed at that board than you per-say. The fact that you post there, and the music is gone, would be an indication to some that you are posting there and not here. How would anyone know any different? If you can't get on that thread to see, people don't know.

And I didn't see your post on the other board, I don't read all the threads, maybe it was one I posted in but never returned to, I don't have time or interest to go to all the Stevie message board, to check them all 24/7.

And reading every thread...jeesh, I'm not indicating that you have the time to do that. It sounds so hostile, and holier than thou. My initial post to you again I reiterate was not a slander or Barb-bash.....just a point I think needed to be made. No big deal if you didn't see that post on 7W. You see it here, and hopefully get my drift about people's ?. Again I state, you can take that box and do what you please, but I think a bunch of people here were really keen and hopeful each day to see a new show/demo, and w/ it gone, it's a bummer. All others sharing are generous as well. THAT is what makes the boards a pleasantry.

Shel's "Japan Rumours Tourbook" thread is great. It's worth $8.99. But the "Not That Funny Early Live Versions" thread is mispriced -- at $1.50.
