Default The Cult, Tori Amos & Debbie Harry

Yup, that was how my last weekend was spent. The Cult on Friday, Tori on Saturday and Deb on Sunday. My Lord, I am still tired. Each one was magnificent on it's own. Even though I am a huge Debbie fan, and have always wanted to see Tori live, I have to say the Cult is what's hanging on me still the most. What an awesome live band. Don't know their whole catalog. Mostly base my adoration on Sonic Temple. Damn fine album. So, I know we have Deb & Tori fans here, but any Cult lovers? Please revel w/ me. I need to go on and on about them. haha

I saw the Cult a few years back in Belfast. I was only familiar with the "Love" album, but damn! They are a good live band. I have never been at a concert with such perfect sound quality! Everything just sounded so good and the performances were top-notch. It didn't matter that I didn't know some of the songs because they all just rocked! Highlight of the show for me was Phoenix. Fantastic live song.

I saw Debbie in November and she was incredible. I even got a high five from her from the stage ... our hands touched! I am lovin' the new cd.

Sounds like a dream. I love She Sells Sanctuary. I am not that familiar with their music other than their hits though. But I LOVE their sound.

I love Ian Astbury. When I worked at the Fillmore, I got to see the show including the sound check. Mr. Sexy walked toward me with his full rock star attitude, leather pants and thick accent. If anybody could even come close to filling in for Jim Morrison, Ian is one hell of a candidate. I am so bummed that I didn't get to see those Doors shows. For a band that's been around, they sounded great. I love She Sells Sanctuary and Fire Woman.

I think I would've passed out. Did you know he was playing with two members of the doors as Riders on the Storm?

He still looks great

I had heard he was w/ the Doors, but man, I must not have really been paying attention, cuz I fugged up bigtime not seeing him @ any of those shows. My friend found a DVD on Ebay for like $3.99 though of the "Doors" line up w/ Ian.
The incident @ the Fillmore GDW had...I REALLY would have died. Yea, he's got a rock star attitude, but being fine as that, why not? lol
I have heard that the Cult will be the opening band for the US leg of the Led Zepplin Tour. Sad to see how Ian will outshine Page. bwahaha. Which Ledgie will accuse me of blasphamy?

As for you Deb lovers out there, yes, she is so hot! Still got it going on, and just MONDO energy. Over 60 and still beltin' things out like the 80's. I adore her to pieces!

I saw Tori back in July over here. Saw Debs with Blondie a few years ago and The Cult are from my home town lol. I love love LOVE "She Sells Sanctuary". Tori was by far the most amazing live show I have ever been too. She was on FIRE! I have to say, the last 2 weeks of the ADP tour were a tad disappointing. She seemed to loose interest until she started whipping out 2 dolls per show then we got back to amazing Tori-ness.

I've seen Deb and Tori and they are both World class, just amazing live. I think vocally Ian would outshine Page, I haven't seen him perform though so I don't know about presence and all that.

Awesome weekend!!!
I love the Cult, and have seen them a few times! Ian and Billy are a great team.
Saw them on a couple of years ago on St. Patricks Day in Chicago, and they rocked!
