Peace Sunday Photos

Stumbled across this section of the Rhino site, with the photographer Henry Diltz & his memories of Peace Sunday:

Sometimes these pro photographers forget where they were & when. Henry says Peace Sunday took place at the Coliseum, but it was at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. It was on June 6, 1982, & I guess "Mirage" was just hitting the shelves. Everybody probably has the event audio by now--it's been circulating for decades. I saw the event & remember both Stevies--Wonder & Nicks--getting the standing ovations even before they started their shortened sets. Stevie Nicks always did well in that department whenever she was on the bill of these big charity things.

The performances were filmed or videotaped, but I don't know why it's never entered the collectors bloodstream. Or if it has, I don't know anything about it. Does anyone have any more photos? Please post here.

Thanks for posting. All due respect to Ms. Nicks, God knows I love her, but those pics posted by SortaSavage, mostly the first three.. the third one in particular... they're reminding me of the one Olson twin. That upper arm bone should not be showing like that. And by the way, since those bones are displaying so boldly, might I inquire as to if anyone thinks Ms. Nicks may be one who has that same wrist deformation that Jimi Hendrix had? Personally, I like the recent pic posted by vivfox. She looks happy, healthy and the look on her face seems to say "I'm one hawt cougar... meooooww."

Absofreakinlutely! LOL.. I think she looks GREAT in all of them, and by NO means, even with a "stretch" of the imagination- does she resemble ANY Olson twin, IMO..
