a. I think jazzy was mostly talking about the part right before we got to the actual venue. we went through a few shady areas.

b. I also believe it was his second time in chicago. so coming from mississippi, i'm sure it was the ghetto.

it's ok Michelle. our friend obviously doesn't understand satire, which my comment, for the most part, clearly was. it was also partly an inside joke b/w Cammie, Michelle and myself. but he is right that I haven't seen much of Chicago. what I did see en route to the station looked very ghetto-ish (a section of a city, esp. a thickly populated slum area, inhabited predominantly by members of an ethnic or other minority group, often as a result of social or economic restrictions, pressures, or hardships). sorry if that offends you. it wasn't meant to.
