And thanks everyone - it's a big relief - she's 11 and I was really worried this was going to be it. But nope- guess she's just a lumpy dog!

hi jaz, i'm fine.

Dee - so glad to hear about Clancy. And gross on the cow knuckle. I'm so weird that I only buy my cats fish and chicken treats to eat, cause that's what I eat! Chicken and fish, that is, not cat treats. Well, unless I'm really hungry. lmao.

Obsessions I omitted:

Sephora

Shopping

Coordinating my ensembles down to matching the makeup

Pedicures - my feet have to look good all the time. Cant.stand.skanky.chipped-polish.toenails

Finances - all bills must be paid early and the check book balanced to the penny.

ok, that's all for now.

^^

I don't MAKE the books - I simply purchase them. And many of the ones I buy are total hippie books made with 100 percent post consumer recycled paper.

My latest obsession: The movie 3:10 To Yuma (starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale)

Just got back from seeing it for the fourth time. The only movie I saw more times in the theater was Gladiator (5 times).

Needless to say, it's a good movie.

Hmm.. Gladiator. 3:10 to Yuma. I'm thinking I'm seeing a pattern here, Miss Vicky. A pattern that looks a lot like Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe (as "Ben Wade") is definitely the reason why I saw the movie the first time, but there's so much more to this movie than eye candy. Actually, the most outstanding performance (among a superb cast) in this film is by Ben Foster, who plays Crowe's obsessively devoted yet morally devoid second-in-command, "Charlie Prince."

The film is all about respect. The respect that Wade's gang has for him. The respect Ben Wade has for Christian Bale's character, "Dan Evans." The lack of respect that Evans's son has for his father. It's also about redemption. About Evans redeeming himself in the eyes of his wife and son. About Wade redeeming himself in his own eyes.

The one thing that I really love about this film is that the characters are portrayed as full human beings. The "good guys" aren't all saints and the "bad guys" aren't all evil. There's also a fair amount of humor and raw emotion. Of course, being a western, there's also a lot of violence. Stuff gets blown up, people get killed and bad guys strut around looking cool.

So yeah, Crowe looked hot - and spent almost the whole movie in chains... yay for my bondage fetish - but the film itself is what kept me coming back.

I'm currently obsessed with Bridge Mix - I think it's the Brach's brand. I thought it was disgusting when I read the bag, but now I'm hooked.

LOL, my grandparents always used to have Bridge mix. I think they ate it while they were playing Bridge.

I'm totally obsessed with eye make-up. I just spent about two hours in Sephora the other day. I could spend an entire day in there. Lorac, Urban Decay, Too Faced, Make Up Forever, I could go on and on.
