Had you said something more interesting then what was being said, we would have gone with it. Sadly, that was not the case. Talking about people threadjacking does not count as "interesting", BTW. Unless you include something interesting with your complaint of threadjacking. Which you did not.

Look, I'm not laying blame, I'm as sad as you are that you didn't say something interesting enough that it had the power to thwart our threadjacking. I still think you might be a good person, though, despite that. I mean, it's possible if not probable. Take heart. You may have something interesting to say yet!!! Keep in mind that it has to be about the subject at hand to not be counted as threadjacking. According to your rules.

So, in summary, you have to say something interesting and compelling about the subject at hand to qualify for your own standards, the ones you have expressed here.
Aaaannnd...Go!!! Seriously, I'm waiting with baited breath. I'm sure you have it in you, something really interesting to say, that is not off topic!
I can only conclude that you have the goods, since you complained and all.

Show us your insight and rapier wit! Show us your never before heard of thoughts! The points of view no one has ever thought of! We await your wisdom...I know how hard it is, to express yourself originally and interestingly. The work that goes into arranging your thoughts as no one else has before, in hopes of amusing or informing your fellow man! To present them with something they haven't heard a million times before! To say it in a new way!
I'm sure you are up to the challenge, at least I assume so, from the desires for learned and fulfilling exchange that you have just expressed. Your crying out in angst about topics not being adhered to!!! Your pain sears my soul, I feel it in my very Stevie-est heart. Your pain at people not talking about rote topics in the same time tested way they have always been talked about before! The philistine way we let our minds stray to whims and fancies! Saying things other than what has been proscribed before as the proper thing to say!
We are like naked boobed Caribbeans, and you are like the civilizing Christian missionaries. Teach us the boring way, so that we may know the beauty of restraint and denial! Of not letting thoughts stray!! I look to you, oh pragmatic one of whose thoughts will show us the way.
Bestoweth, and stuff.

We're all just human. Supposedly.
