Saw part of the Britney clip on several shows yesterday. The teeny video on computer that I first saw of her performance and then after seeing it again on a large tv screen in my living room on several news shows, well I take back what I said in my other message.

Britney was a mess, y'all

Never trust a teeny, tiny video clip on the Internet

I need new glasses

Alot of Ledgies were right. Britney has the money and had time to prepare for this show. She shouldn't be out partying if she plans to make a come-back in front of a national tv audience on MTV.

All I can say is I probably can move faster than Britney did and I am 25 years older than she is

Sarah Silverman, still don't know or care who she is. I read what she said about Britney's two sons. Apparently, S.S. isn't a very nice person and I don't care if she's suppose to be a funny comedian. Never make fun of children. I don't care whose children they are. Just wrong, wrong, wrong in my book

Well I didn't think she made fun of the kids but she did use them to make fun of Brit. I wouldn't have done it. But I would have thought Brit would have a thicker skin than that. She should give her pal Madonna a call and get her sh*t together. Nothing ever brought her down. Also, someone makes fun of you so you can't dance? Baloney. She was on something. Alcohol at least.

one of the rumours is that there was an agreement between Britney and MTV that Sarah wouldn't make any jokes about her and when she found out she was going to, she decided to upstage her own performance to "teach them a lesson" - but, a) I don't believe this at all and b) if it is true, Britney's the idiot...her plan didn't work. lol.

as Sarah said was that Britney's kids are the cutest mistakes ever and then made fun of Britney's hairless vajayjay.

Well, I'm no Britney fan, but I didn't think that her appearance was any different than it has ever been, really. It has been too long ago that the media was talking about what great shape she is in---back when she was doing secret performances. Now, They are saying she is totally out of shape.

She looked basically like I remembered.

Her performance was lackluster at best. She wasn't dancing around really. She was barely moving. Her lipsynching was off. That part was pretty bad.

I personally think that there are people out there that people just love to hate, and she is definitely one of those people!

I still think it's outfit choice. If she had worn something different.. not bikini boy shorts that created a muffin top... then people would probably be saying, "well, she's not as tiny as she used to be, but for a mom of 2, she's in very good shape." That's just the opinion that I have, because I remember back in the early K-Fed/self-destruction days where she was seriously packing on the pounds and looking like total trailer trash all.the.time. Homegirl never, ever looked good back then. As boring as the performance was, her body was in much better shape than in the past.

I think she's in kind of a lose-lose situation, really. Tabloids, etc. started making fun of her a long time ago, and they're reluctant to break that cycle. Her VMA performance would have had to have been nothing short of OMG STELLAR to get any sort of positive reaction at all. The bar is set incredibly high for her right now.

That said, I do think she can still have her comeback. And this VMA performance can be tossed in the mix when they say, "overcoming tabloid attention, a shaved head, a lackluster VMA performance, blahblahblah." She needs to get in there and bust it in the gym and in dance rehearsals. Then, when the album drops, she'll have a few good videos - her videos are historically pretty good, considering the songs - a live performance here or there, and she can get her pop queen title back. For all we know, this could have been a stunt. God knows it wouldn't be the first. All eyes are on her now, and if she comes out next time and does better than this, it'll be positive attention.
