Stevie's article was pretty awful for a while. All unorganized and shyt.
Over this past week I revamped it, organized it a little bit better and added some stuff about the new charity. The only thing is, in the update, I lost all the footnotes and sources. So if someone could help me site some facts in the article, I'd greatly appreciate it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Nicks ALSO: If someone has an incredible picture of Stevie they took themselves, please post it. |

You can also use any of mine. I think that I posted them on a picture thread, but I can repost them if you would like.

Here is a really good one that I cropped. I think it's a great picture. I was really surprised when it came out as good as it did.

You could always just go back in the edit history & copy and paste all the citations that were lost.

I'm tired of trying to update it too. it looked fine the way it was, I thought and I like the order it was in - it was much easier to read. I spent almost a month uploading album pictures and updating information earlier this year and then someone came in and ****ed it up so since then I just gave up. |

I was just reading the Wikipedia info, there are still some minor errors here and there.
The "Stevie Nicks In Concert" show originally aired on HBO in 1982 and was released on VHS and Beta in 1983. The "Rock A Little" tour wasn't 1985-1986, it started in the spring of '86 after the release of "I Can't Wait". MTV was all over the videos and tour dates. The songs on "Timespace" were remixed in addition to being remastered. Remastering happens any time an album is re-issued. Remixing on the other hand requires going into the studio and pulling the tracks apart and literally re-mixing them. I don't think "Enchanted" and "Destiny" go back to the BN days. They do go back to at least circa 1982. "It's Late" from "Enchanted" was one of the unreleased demos along with "Sweet Girl", and "Twisted". "Reconsider Me" was released to radio as a single. "Edge Of Seventeen" from "Enchanted" was originally released as a promo only single to radio in 1981. "Planets Of The Universe" was widely known to fans as "No Light" prior to getting the official release on TISL. "Frozen Love" wasn't technically written as a collaboration between Stevie and Lindsey. She wrote it, but she gave him half credit for the his guitar solo in the middle. The "Fleetwood Mac" album took almost a full year of being on the charts before hitting #1. "Mirage" was #1 on the album charts for five weeks. The "Mirage" concert performance originally aired on Showtime and was later issued on VHS. "The Dance" tour was not recorded for release. The album and video were recorded specifically for the release. It was originally supposed to be an MTV Unplugged performance (just like The Eagles' "Hell Freezes Over") thus all the "classics" being performed. Lindsey wanted to do more album cuts, but the label and the network wanted the hits. During rehearsals for the show, the band decided they couldn't do an entire acoustic show. So they plugged in. Only "Say You Love Me", "Landslide", "Go Insane" and "Big Love" retained the acoustic arrangements. "Silver Springs" was dropped from "Rumours" because of time restraints, however vinyl could fit roughly 15 mins per side before losing sound quality. If you could fit 24 mins per side as stated in the article, "Springs" would have fit fine as there would be room for a 48 min album. Most single vinyl albums run about 30-35 mins. These are mostly little nit pick things, if I knew how to edit the article I would. But these are the errors that stood out to me. |
