The only contact from Stevie's management that I am able to reach about the fanzine WAS contacted, and I was able to run the idea by him, and it didn't seem to be a problem at all.
As far as the DVD, it is all videos recorded from the tv, not from her released DVD, and it is a gift, as clearly stated on the site, so basically it is the same thing as one fan trading a DVD of the same videos to another fan, what you are paying for is the Fanzine itself.
Issue one is mostly articles and photos (used by permission from various photographers, who are credited in the back of the issue), plus some fan input. I actually would LOVE more fan input for issue 2!
Thanks for your concern, I really do appreciate that, but I think we have it covered with all the possible problems, and if anyone from her camp wishes to contact me, I have all the records of sales,
and information,so I am happy to comply with them

Thank! I think I wrote here before that I didn't actualy make it. I'm not sure who did. Whomever it was, I thank you and think it's very beautiful.

A friend of mine is the one who made the banner. Angie. I don't think she posts here anymore but she probably still reads.

I hate to be negative about other people's earnest attempts at contributing to the mystique, but a lot of the fanzines I've seen over the years have been stupid (virtually content-free) & shoddy (in craftsmanship). But Mike Bise delivered the goods in the mid 1990s with three excellent issues of Mirror Mirror. His opinions were thoughtful & sharp & expressed with clarity & style, & his design work was well above the Stevie fanzine timbre. He wrote articles on, inter alia, official & underground videos, demo timelines & analyses, karate lessons for the band, & the Lifetime Network concert-in-the-works for Stevie.

Mike did an EXCELLENT Job after he took over for the Enchantress (whatever happened to her?) with Mirror Mirror. It was a beautiful fanzine, truly.

is there any way we can get a fanzine, this or another, online? it may help with keeping costs down too. get one version finalized and then scan in at high resolution...just a thought.

I am sure someone will scan and post it, LOL, since it is a lot of text tho, that probably won't look very nice that way. I am presenting this with a ring binding, like a journal, with a full colour front and back, I am doing this as a throwback to the original fabulous fanzine days, so that is why I am not doing it online/downloads, that would ruin the fun of running to your mailbox!

I want to mail people something real, that they can keep, rather than having to print it, and take it to a binder, etc. I do it all for them

That still wouldn't be the idea I am going for, the old fanzine days, where something cool came in your mailbox, and if you didn't have a computer, you could still get it, I have had some people subscribe thru friends, who are not online, and they are just SO excited about the idea. I think the hard copy is a lot of fun for some people, and I enjoy putting my "special touch" on each one

Pretty much articles from everywhere, and all topics, as well.
This is just Issue 1, so I hope to have lots of feedback after people receive it, of what they love and what they hate about it, or suggestions of stuff to add/change
