Nothing from Perfect Beat, Tower, or CD Universe where I also preordered.

You must have preordered it...i ordered mine on the 28th and it's estimated to ship from Amazon between Sept. 4th-12th!

They're already popping up on ebay.

I keep seeing a TV commercial for a dance compilation called ThriveMix04 - they announce Stevie's name, then play a mix of Stand Back at the end.

I looked up the site, and it says the mix included is an "exclusive mix" by DJ Skribble. But then on the tracklisting, it says the Traci Takes You Home mix is what's included.

You can listen to excerpts - but it's all just thumps and "Stand Back"s to me...

Warning: turn down your speakers before you click. I've been in nightclubs less loud.

I did see that memo @ the bottom of the Amazon order page where it states that all Ledgie orders are expedited priority.

jk. But it should be that way. If SF area folks got theirs today, the rest of you ought to be getting them lickity split. As it were, I gave the one I had to my pal, so I still didn't get a listen. How dumb. HOPEFULLY mine will arrive tomorrow.

WOOOO HOOOO!

Now, THIS I am excited for! I really like the thrive mix cds.

They're allways really cool, and the mixes of one song always sege right into the next seemlessly. Also, its cool getting to see Stevies Name sandwiched inbetween people tha are hot right now.like The killers and Nelly furtado. I know shes a legend, but its nice to see her back in the game. Also, I finially found a cd on ebay that was a promo, and has *one* EDIT., So, the search for the edits continue, but one down. Cant wait to buy the thrive mix cd!!

Now are they re-releasing this song or .. what's the deal here?

JazmenFlowers · #52 09-02-2007, 05:48 PM

got mine today too. although I've had the remixes for a while, having the actual maxi-single is awesome.

I saw where Ralphi's Beefy Retro Mix is #9 on iTunes's Dance charts.

I went to my local record store in Portland, OR on the off chance that the single would be there. Surprisingly, there was one copy! Of course I snapped it up. Not a big fan of DJ mixes, I bought it mostly for the cover! I then found out a very thoughtful friend also ordered one to surprise me with. So I will have another copy to trade with someone!

Overall, while it is nice to see the recognition Stevie's very old tunes are getting after all these years, its sad that it's such a rehash -- living off the past.Is there no future? She absolutely needs to put out new stuff, believe in it, sell it, perform it and move on!

Stand Back is the #1 single on PerfectBeat

Woot!! Got mine from Amazon today!! I've heard most of the mixes before, the Tracey Young dub is new to me, though, and I'm really digging it.

Now, any news on when we should expect to start hearing the new "Edge of Seventeen" remixes?

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Stand Back is ranked number 2 this week on the Billboard Dance Single Sales Chart.

Sorry to bring up an old one, but when I went home from College 2 weeks ago I found the CD in a Newbury Comics CD/DVD store. I was so pumped to get one of the 500 copies!!
