I actually sat through the movie in the theater when I was a kid. It was one of the few movies (along with The Wiz and the Raggedy Anne & Andy Movie) that I really hated seeing. Of course, I had been told it was about Greek mythology, so you can see how it might have been a letdown.
My ex used to sing the song at karaoke, though. But I like to appall people by pointing out that the 1st Gene Kelly movie I ever saw was Xanadu, the 1st Bette Davis movie was Escape to Witch Mountain, the 1st Shelley Winters movie was Pete's Dragon, and the 1st Lawrence Olivier movie was Clash of the Titans. My childhood was crapfest-a-rama. (The Incredible Shrinking Woman, anyone?) But I hope you enjoy it on Broadway. - Jake
