I think it depends on the level of wasted. I think Lohan takes it to another level -- and, I have known meth heads that lose days at a time. Same thing for the major coke heads, esp. when alcohol is involved.

right. shouldn't that then evoke some small level of sympathy on her behalf?

thank you very much black widdow, i almost forgot about breakdown britney

and no carrie, i dont think that LL deserves ANY sympathy [i really dont know if you are being sarcstic or not but ill voice my opinion anyways], shes a spoiled little rich bitch who has nother better to do with her time and money. her father is an abuser and her mother is also apparently a drunk partier.

It desgusts me to know that girls i actually talk to, and one im kindof friends with, actually has these whores in thier 'heros' section of thier myspace

no, i wasn't being sarcastic. LL has been peddled out by her mother since she was very young, her father has drug/alcohol problems and has been in & out of jail, and now her mother is engaging in these habits with her instead of encouraging her to be healthy. if she weren't rich and famous - if she were just a girl from your town - would you have sympathy for her? i'm not even a huge LL sympathizer, but i do find her story sad.

Well, on one hand I think the drinking and driving is problematic, but the action of drinking and doing drugs themselves to me is not a problem. She is young and has ****loads of money - who wouldn't do that? I just think she will grow up and out of it. But then again, if she is drinking and driving on a regular basis, it could be the start of a serious problem...

oh, i see what you're saying. so you don't disagree that she's an addict then? i agree that she can do whatever she wants with booze and drugs but she definitely shouldn't be driving.

It's so disturbing, isn't it? It's as though her fame (and therefore, MONEY) is more important than her health as far as her mother is concerned. I don't even see it as enabling; I see it as exploitation.

We should feel sorry for anyone who is in active addiction. Feeling sorry for someone doesn't condone or enable behaviors. A true addict (whether it be drugs or alcohol) is going through things we could never understand. People have given up their children for drugs. She has an opportunity to get herself clean and has FAR more advantages than the average addict on the street. I hope she takes advantage of those advantages and turns her life around before she kills herself or someone else.

I don't know - if she cannot help but drink and drive, then all signs point to addict. But I don't think because she is doing these things that we should assume she is an addict. Who knows

well, she's been to rehab a couple times already at her young age, and she's out doing this stuff every night. all signs point to addict. her behavior is affecting (at the very least) her professional life - if she could easily quit doing what she's doing in order to preserve her career, wouldn't she do that?

This is true. I would say she is probably an addict....
