Thanks.

As for pet insurance, I don't have any on my cats, but I do have insurance on my horse. It's nominal fee per year (about 400-500. depending on values), I'm paying it monthly, only about 40 per month. I think it's completely worth it.

I've never really thought about cat insurance, but it may be worth it. I've always found it heartbreaking to hear stories aobut having to put a pet down because you can't afford to help them.

Let's just say my childhood boy cat Abby had the surgery and basically became Abigail so that the urine crystals and stones could pass easier.

Ricky is doing better but a bit zonked from the pain medication.

Beachwood, I don't have pet insurance. I looked into it last night but the plans seem to rule out pre-existing conditions and that would likely mean they wouldn't cover any future treatment of this urinary thing.

Pet Insurance is very expensive and it really covers to any significant extent , emergencies. And, if you have to go to a 24 place for an emergency, you still likely will be responsible for 20% or so of the bill because the insurance pays a set rate, ahich usually is lower than the actual rate charged. My experience shows it pays like 20% of the annual stuff. So, if the premium is $250 a year for your pet. That and the overage for the emergency is not really worth the plan, etc.

Ricky has been back to the vet twice since the original emergency. Fortunately, he is not blocked but just dealing with irritation. He finally seems like himself this morning, so hoping things are getting back to normal.

I avoided the spider issue cos I didn't want to annouce to the Ledge that you (encouraged by Sharon) killed that spider last week - It was a bad thing to do -well unless it had been Andre !

I sponsor some animals with the WWF but it isn't the same. My donation gets spent on some Penguins but you can't really have one of those in a flat in London......
