Default How amazing are cats!!??

Ok, I have two cats, both three years old, out of different litters though. I love my cats more than most humans I know. I find they are more reliable than even a best friend

here are my cats [for anyone who didn't see them in the Stevie board ]

The black one is Smokey, and the white one is Angel. Smokey is a lot nicer than Angie [we call her blob sometimes...shes really fat ], but Smokey has cost us more money. [ref. this thread http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...715#post698715 ]
We got Angel from a shelter, and Smokey from a neighbor.
We also had a cat 'Kitty' [how original... ] but she was an outdoor cat [15 years old] and one day we let her out, and we never saw her agian . She was the nicest cat ever [to me anyways]. She always comforted me when I was sad, and she always would 'protect' me as best as she could.

does anybody have any cat stories to share??

Sorry, I just have a love for all cats. They are my favorite animal
[I guess this is why kids at school call me 'catwoman' ]

I have 5. Aubie Tarheel (from Auburn where my husband went and Chapel Hill where I went), Missy, Gizmo, Boo & Blitzen. I'd have 5 more if I had enough room!! Aubie is the only one who goes out and loves to ride in the truck with his 'dad'. And get this, he really does know his name and actually comes when he's called!!

Missy & Gizmo are Himilayans - my little fur balls. Boo is solid black, Blitzen solid white - a beautiful combination when they're not fussing. Unfortunately Boo wasn't too excited about getting a younger sibling.

I'm pretty close to having to get a king size bed as they all think that they are human and therefore must sleep in the bed with the people. Since I don't have any human children, they are my feline children. My husband not so jokingly tells his friends that if there's an afterlife, they need to try and come back as one of my cats!

Here is a shot of all of them rounded up for their nightly wet food!

All of mine truly believe they are human - couldn't have anything to do with the fact that that's how I treat them! The litter boxes aren't that much trouble - it's picking up all the blobs of cat fur throughout the house on a daily basis. Too bad my husband is allergic to them

I love watching their personalities develop. If yours are like mine, they each have their very own distinctive personality. I can close my eyes and tell who's who just by the sound of their meow, the feel of their fur and the way they come down the stairs.

I've had cats since I was 5 years old and just couldn't live without them!

I love cats. I have two - they are brothers - Sims and Hilton. They are my babies, that's for sure. They are spoiled rotten and I wouldn't have it any other way!!

Angel is absolutely gorgeous!
And I love black cats. My Rhiannon was black and skinny as could be and mean as the devil to all but she adored me.

Anyway...I adore cats! Love dogs, too, but cats are the coolest.

I asked Julius how he felt about being so damned amazing.

"Hey man, why you gotta be takin' so many pictures of me?"

(Pouts) "Ok, whatever, I'll pose for you just this one time"

"Dude, you can't keep torturing me like this! I'm burning out!"

"No way man. No way!"

Our stupid orange cat Morgan always wants a piece of the action. Note the disturbing resemblance to the cat in Alien. Oh yeah, and his creepy mutant front paws.

"Okay Daryl, I'm ready to be cute now!" Julius weighs about 20 pounds, is more than three feet long from head to tail, and can't be pushed over.

How Julius and Morgan spend about 20 hours of their life every day.

Julius and Morgan seem to spend a lot of their time they same way mine do! The six toes on the front feet is actually quite rare! It makes him special like my blue eyed white cat who's NOT deaf (a little over 90% of solid white cats - excluding Himilayans - with blues eyes are deaf).

Watch our for the weight on your 20 pounder - that's the leading cause of diabetes in cats and trust me, you haven't lived until you've tried to manage a diabetic cat!

I have two cats, Patches, who is now 15-16, and Gypsy, whom I have had for just about 3 months. They aren't getting along very well at the moment, and hope in time that they will. Patches was a ferrell cat, and took me about 3 months to gain her trust, Gypsy, was a neglected, and when I first brought him home, he was just about 4 lbs, he is doing much better, and is filling in quite nicely.

The Morgan Chronicles, Part 2.

"Dude, why you gotta have that flash on all the time?"

Morgan is too stupid to hold still long enough to have his picture taken.

Close, but no cigar.

Morgan shows me how long he is.

Thumbs up

I own 8 cats, and if I didnt purchase such a suckass cheap digital camera (Which is unable to take photos inside the house) I would list their pictures.

In chronological order:

Jr. (White American short-hair w/yellow polka-dots)

Patches - The Crack Ho Calico (A major crack head - Needs her 'hit' all the time - her 'hit' is of course cat-food - She reminds me of the Dave Chappelle character who is a crackhead, thus her unique name)

The Woodchuck (aka Shioban - A full blooded bi-fold albino female Scottish Fold. She has an adversion to staying clean - She is a walking dirt bag, even after giving her a bath she is dirty 5 minutes later...Her breath makes a sewer lagoon smel good in comparison )

Missy Gail (My baby!!! My kitten/child I bottle fed back in July 2005 when her mother died after giving birth - She is my pride and joy!!! Loves her honey Harlen and her 'Momma/Daddy' which is me)

Harlen (Think Morris the Cat - But more Satanic looking - Has really devil-like ears and yellow/green eyes. Is Missy's honey)

Quilt Pirate (Diluted torte...Very small cat for being almost 2 years old. Is Harlen's lil sis.)

Fred-Tread (aka Willy Weasel - Dumbest cat in history, tried eating a scorpion the other day.)

Fatty Cat (aka Bertha - Weasel's lil' sister - A cool looking tabby which soft and thick fur!)

8?!! I think you win! Do they all get along pretty well? My four were fine until I introduced the last one. Three of them tolerate him, but one always hisses and growls. I kept hoping it would get better, but so far it hasn't

Great names BTW!
