a cup holder.

WTFH?

The cops directing traffic were like "huh?". Apparently 30-100 cars a night are broken into, at concerts and Riversharks games. Ok, so if you know that Officer, why are you not patrolling these supposedly secure, expensive lots? They also told me that quite often people come out to find their windows smashed, so I am sort of glad the hubby left the hatch unlocked in my car. (we rarely use it and it is always locked...I rarely lock my car doors around town but I made a specific point to do it in Ghetto Camden)
My radio with cd player was fine, my new expensive sunglasses were fine, my Starbucks Passion tea with Melon was placed neatly on the floor and my cup holder was removed from the console. It did have a bunch of pennies, nickles and dimes but overall, it was quite a bizarre thing to steal. All my burned cds got taken as well but luckily I had all my good cds in the visor. So the drug addict, low life who stole the cd box will have endless Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Fleetwood Mac demos and boots to listen to. I am sure they are thrilled!
That sucks. I took to only taking burned CD's with me in the car after my CD case was stolen from my unlocked car - in my driveway in broad daylight no less! I'm sure they had a hell of a time listening to such things as the 25th take of Edge of Seventeen, City Of Hope, Lily Girl, Dial The Number and the rest of my eclectic mixes of Stevie demos. I did have some of my bought CD's in there though.

That is definately a source of comfort for me....the idea of this person pulling out one of my cds, putting it in, and the sweet sound of "Goldfish and the Ladybug" blasting from their boom box.

I'm cracking up just imagining it. The phrase "Karma's a b*tch" has never been so apropos...I pre-laugh whenever I imagine someone taking my ishuffle, for the same reason.

Cool story, Mike!!! I love Chris...

Thanks for posting the pics from Camden, very nice. It helps to see what she looks like up close for those of us who didn't get to see her that close.

I will not go to the Tweeter Center in Camden ever again. I just don't feel safe at the venue. I went there once with my husband when Stevie was there & just didn't feel safe. I'm glad that I went to The Bogarta to see her especially since reading about the cars getting broken into.

My excitement happened during Chris' set. The second song in he tells everyone to come up to the stage...I am third row dead center so I hop over two rows to get up. Now I am 6 foot 4 and stick out like a sore thumb and security came over and told me to go back, and Chris saw this and started to wave me up after the song and I pointed to security security and shook my head! So he is into his third song and stopped playing and said something like "Now hold on, this is crazy. If you can't come up here then you're gonna sit on my stage!" so I sat up on the stage for the rest of his set and it was AMAZING! I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up! But he gave me his pick that he played with and was a totally great guy!

As for Stevie's set, they handed out wrist bands to the front row only and said they werent letting anyone else up....THATS WHAT THEY THOUGHT! HA! Pretty much before Stand Back was over the stage was totally rushed and it was just amazing all together.

I got to see a few Ledgies and my regulars from Mick's so I couldnt have asked for anything more!

Oh, she played Enchanted again, also!

I thought you might like this photo.

When I saw that they were charging $15 for parking, I came to two conclusions- 1) I will never see another show in Camden again. Ever. 2) This is the first horse of the apocalypse. ; you know society is in dire straits when it costs $15 to park in Camden. Maybe if the spot was just right outside of the venue... but this was at least a half mile away. Ultimately I found a street parking space just outside of one of the paid lots and took my chances, even though my car was stuffed with about $1000 worth of closet fittings and hardware from my last trip to Ikea. I figured that if someone needed to break into my car to steal a $15 Stolmen pants hanging rack, they probably needed it much more than I.

I did quickly glance at those bootleg Stevie T-shirts. Blecch~! Made Chris Nicks look like da Vinci by comparison. I just can't believe somebody out there is bootlegging merchandise for a one-month tour that is not drawing huge crowds.

^ We ended up in that lot too, mainly because we didn't know where the hell we were going & couldn't easily get out of the traffic we were stuck int he middle of. So we went with the flow & paid the $15. Whatever. The venue itself is very nice, but the parking is ridiculous - even crappy Darien Lake out there doesn't charge for parking.

I'll try to post one of my patented long winded reviews in a separate thread in a bit , but since Mike started this thread, I wanted to post the quick vid clip I got of him sitting on stage during Chris Isaak's performance. Of course, Youtube lists it as "coming soon" even though I uploaded it last night. Sorry, I promise it'll be up eventually.

I have a couple more with you and Gia in them. I can send them to you or post them here, if it is ok with her. I forwarded them all to Ash to send to her as well. There are a few cute ones and I got Waddy right after he handed her the pick. Sadly there was a giant, drunk man standing in between. I asked him very nicely if I could take a picture when Stevie shook Gia's hand during the Edge walk. I was right there and I had the perfect spot for a good photo. He said "sure, of course". When the time came, he shoved his girlfriend right in front of me, up to the stage to get a handshake. Stevie went on by and he looked at me and said "sorry! I promised her I would get her a handshake!".

What goes around, goes around, goes around.......

The video clip of Mike on stage is up in my Adventures in Camden thread. It's pretty dark, though.
