Default The song "Twisted"

Okay so What brought this song about? Lindsey wasnt with the band in 1996 when it was released.
Is it a Fleetwood Mac or a Buckingham Nicks effort?
Was it only written for the "Twister" Movie?
Who is the girl that sings at the end of it.
Why was it not added to any albums its such a great number.
I really love the song but the whole thing confuses me a bit.
If any one knows the story about this song please share it with me. Thanks

Just looking through the Stevie forums and i seen it's actually one of her songs and she did a duet with Lindsey.

It also appears to have not gone down all that well with some of her fans.
I just want to say i think is a really good song. Not an all time classic but it sounds great and i can listen to it every time it comes on on my playlists.
I also think Lindseys voice really helps to lift the song, some said he sounded rough.

good song 7.5 out of 10

I think it's a great song. Much better than the demo that ended up on Enchanted. It was a Buckingham Nicks effort, they weren't credited as Fleetwood Mac on the Twister soundtrack, it said 'Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham'. Stevie wrote the song, Lindsey produced and arranged it. Stevie was asked to write a song for the movie, and the idea of the song came to her when someone gave her summary of the script. A man and a woman together while maintaining an extreme and demanding job. She's gone on record to say it reflects what she's singing about in Long Distance Winner.

Their version isn't on any other album, but Stevie's demo version is on disc 3 of the Enchanted box set.

It is just two McVie's shy of being a Fleetwood Mac song. I just can't understand why they couldn't get at least John to play on this song. Was he that busy at the time? What was he doing... counting his Time royalties? If anything, I think this song set a precedent for Say You Will with its guitar-heavy, modern sound. It showed that, even without Christine, they could carry on, albeit, with a radically different sound.

twisted demo - not so great.
soundtrack version of twister - really great.

the addition of lindsey makes the song for me. he takes it to a different level.. and honestly, it's just good to hear their voices blend the way they're supposed to.

Twisted is BRILLIANT! it was also avalable on the best buy tour cd for the dance. although the demo is not as enjoyable as the Buckingham/Nicks version from twister, Stevie sang this well and did a good version of it live for the enchanted tour. Id LOVE to hear her and Buckingham sing this live. WOW.

So basically all of this is saying that-
to get the good version we have to buy the whole 'Twister' soundtrack

I don't have either that or Enchanted [I would have it if I had money... ]
I do have a live version of it though, and I like it there, just the sound quality is not what I had hoped

I think her vocals at the end of Twisted (soundtrack version) are some of her best. gives me chills when she sings. "I think you are the demon"

Great first line! lol! And so true, as well as your other comments. I couldn't agree more with your assesment/speculation.

I think Twisted is a very cool hybrid song. Stevie first performed it back 1996 (?) at an outdoor free show in Boston (so I think). And she included it in the Enchanted tour set. It would have been nice if Fleetwood Mac performed it on the Say You Will tour. Oh well.

"Twisted" is far from being the best song on the soundtrack.

There are times when I like twisted, and others when I think it drags, but as a whole, I would have to say it's pretty rad.

I agree! Even though the Enchanted version is pretty popular, Lindsey brings the whole lot to life.
