So when I went to look for a dress (all of mine are now too big - woohoo!) for the wedding & it was still there, I had to try it on. Oh, and it was on sale.

Here's one more. Mark's best friend with his eyes closed & his wife (it was his sister that got married) with Mark & me. It was 85 degrees so I didn't make him wear a suit. He was thrilled.

A) - Can I have your old dresses?
B) - That's it.

hehehe, this pic is really cute, too.

Thank you, Jill!!

Hey Brian, (aka estranged4life) (aka *Grumpy Bastard*)

I don't know you, but I hope that I can take the liberty to say, that I like the photo you chose to post. I saw an earlier photo on your Myspace page and I was touched by the dedication on your webpage. She must have been quite a woman!

My mom died when I was 20 - and my dad when I was 35.... I still protest that I am too young to be an orphan.

I think that is a great honor that you remember. You honor her in that you take the time to go decorate the graves, and in so doing, you pause your life to consider the influence she had on you.

(Though you may see yourself as *grumpy* ... she must be thinking ... That's my Boy! ... as she is smiling and being very proud...)

Bravo!

I also felt I was too young to be an 'orphan'....I lost my Dad at age 7, never had a chance to grieve over him - But when I lost my Mom at age 34 all that emotion flowed in one sad moment (That both my older sister & older brother heard via the phone that lonely March Monday in 2005)

My Mom had to be both my Mother and a father-figure in my life, so I was raised with the knowledge of seeing things in a different light, a light that is more pro-woman - which gives me a unique outlook on life. My longtime 'friend' (And fellow Ledgie) 'nickay' knows that side of me...She ('nickay') has seen that side of me in person and it does offer me a different outlook in regards to "life, love and the pursuit of happiness."

I'm sure my Mom is smiling and proud of me, and I know she is even more proud of the fact I FINALLY have 'nickay' back in my life after 16 years apart!!!

I may be grumpy, but I am blessed!!!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. And no, Amber, you can't have my dresses - I have to save them in case I plump back up.

Hey Brian...

If it is not too painful, how did your mom pass away? And your dad? and did you say a sister too?

It's uncanny....my mom, sister, and both sets of grandparents were all gone before I was 20...then my dad at 35. But by having these things happen to me, I seemed to have matured faster than my friends did.
