THAT IS AWESOME! I'm getting shivers up my spine just thinking about how excited you must have been! Stevie must have felt a real deep connection with you.

I got them too when I read that. I just think that the whole experience that you had was life changing and totally rockin'. Pass off your lucky vibes Livia and I might be able to do the same one of these days.

OMG! Livia, now that definitely is something to cherish. WOW
You better write that down in a journal or something.
I wonder if this is the first time Stevie has seen a fan wear a crescent moon necklace?

I know she never would, but Stevie could easily start her own line of jewelry and/or clothing.

Stevie gives moons to certain fans so I doubt it is the first time she has ever seen one on a fan.

Great pictures and thanks for the indepth review. I am sorta missing the pants for Rock and Roll...she looks so hot in them. I do think the new sparkly pants look hot as Hell, though.

It looked like they were even giving people in the first few rows a hard time about getting up (I suspect it may have been because handicapped seating was in the first row). Anyway, some people in front of me got into a fistfight about getting up front. I went back to my seat and figured that since security was so tight, I would let the people in the first few rows get up, if they could.

So, you really should not try to push ahead of people in the front who were either lucky enough to get the seats or who paid a lot of money for them, IMO.

On a side note, the show was great and I have some pics that I will post in the next few days. Both Chris Isaak and Stevie put on fantastic performances. There was a really cute older couple just in front of me and the woman was talking about how she had seen the Beatles at Red Rocks. Anyway, during Edge, this drunk ass beeyotch comes down from who knows where, pushing in front of people like she was entitled to be there. The older man said something to her and she got right up in his face and started cussing him out and pointing her finger in his face. She was screaming like a banshee. I don't think I've ever wanted to bitch slap someone so bad in my life.

So, aside from that, it was a great show and a fabulous place to see a show. I will go back to see a show there again.

Did that drunk ass beeyotch make it to the front? There was a loud-mouthed drunk ass beeyotch behind us during BATB. She was screaming at the security guy, "SEE THAT PICK? I WANT THAT PICK! WADDY THREW THAT PICK FOR ME AND I WAAAAAANT IT!" Everyone was giving her looks and saying, "Sssh," but she wouldn't stfu. I told her to be please be quiet, she kept screaming and then I said, louder, "Seriously, you need to stfu, like right now!" People around me starting saying, "Yeah, shut-up!" She finally did.

Thank you SV for the nice review and awesome photos. I wish I knew you were going to be in town. Red Rocks is a most magical place to see a show.

^^^ Yep. My friend Alan is going to all 3 Widespread Panic shows in August. I'd love to go back to RR, to see anyone. It's my favorite outdoor venue, for sure!

I still haven't told y'all everything - I keep meaning to go through my notes and write a proper review...I'm trying to get my **** together for this weekend.

Now that I'm back from this weekend's adventures, and finally unpacking, I found my notes on the Red Rocks show....

Sorcerer intro - the usual story about SN and LB living in Hollywood, and the drugs - she said, "It really freaked me out. I mean, FREAKED me out..." and then send something about it being "the good, the bad and the ugly."

Landslide - dedicated to family members who were at the show. Stevie said something about her great-grandmother living in Colorado and that she RAN from the Indians...

HSML - I'm still loving this version - with the rambling at the end..."should I say...how still...how still...myyyyyyy loooooove...should I say..."

Shortly after the Edge walk, Waddy came right up to the rail and handed someone a guitar pick - 3 people down from me.

I'll start a new thread about my Dallas and Houston shows.

You took my favorite photos that I've seen so far, especially the RnR ones. I don't know why they're hotter and better, but they are. Sharper? Better Stevie moments captured? I dunno. I like that you pointed out HSML. That's my new set favorite.

Anyways...your moment. Love it. Spectacular.

BTW -- Did they try to do a slide show? In 2005 at her Red Rocks Show, they did a slide show during Landslide with photos of Stevie from a baby to the performing years...only thing....they didn't have a screen, (other than the one that showed close-ups of the concert) so they shot the slides on the rocks in the back of the stage. It made for some grotesque pictures...

We even missed the Stand Back twirls....all the reviews said she twirled in time with the video footage...again, we saw grotesque figures...

T.D.

One last thing....a local DJ was dissing Stevie's voice...he said if you want to sing like Stevie Nicks, then start singing and then hold your nose...voila' you are a Stevie impersonator....

Early morning DJ's can be so obnoxious when they run out of things to say and then "think" they are being clever...

I was at the 2005 RR show also - and yeah, the video images on the rocks, rather than on a screen, bugged me too - made everyone look like the Elephant Man. They did the same thing this year as well...I totally get not wanting to take away from the natural beauty of the venue, but still.... I think the audience would have preferred clearer images on a screen. But it's not like everything is distorted beyond recognition - the crowd responded accordingly whenever they showed a Red Rocks clip.

these aren't great closeups or anything but they're something at least. i purposely didn't crop them. i took a lot of pics but unfortunately didn't format my media card and i can't view them after dumping them into my pc. only certain ones show up. i'm researching my way around this problem.

Thanks for the pix! I couldn't make it to Red Rocks this time, so I am happy that you and Livia have shared!
