I have decided to go on a Stevie strike - I will not be listening to any of her music until she changes her set

I love it best when Stevie harmonizes with herself. Course, she's not gonna do the lame self-absorbed-Barbra-Streisand-sings-A-Piece-of-Sky thang. At least she's got good judgement with regard to that.

I'm not at all surprised by the set list. I was waiting to see it before I bought tickets to the Greek in LA. I pretty much knew that it would be the same ole thing, so now I don't need to bother with getting tix.

Hey, Stevie- here's a request from this long time die-hard fan:

1) Release new material

2) Freshen up your set list

I'll be waiting. But, you ain't getting any more of my cash until we get something new.

Difficult and a complete drag.

With so many hard core, LOYAL fans bailing on multiple shows, I think sales will be a huge problem. I do not think the promotor will pull the plug because between Eye Sack and Nicks fan, they should sell enough tickets to at least break even.

Stevie really needs to wake up.
She is just lazy..always has been. It's true.

I would drop Enchanted because no one (except maybe Amber ) was interested in hearing that song. Most people sat down.

Honestly, ticket prices are at least as big a factor for me as her setlist. I've never seen Stevie live. I did see LB when he was in Austin, and paid $45 a ticket. Great show. If I could get decent seats to see Stevie for $45, I'd be there in a minute. $150-200 a seat is not worth it to me.

How about we email Joe Benson because he is interviewing Stevie on Sunday. Maybe if they get enough emails they will ask her about the set list.

That's a pretty good idea. I say we all do it.

The interview was probably already conducted.... There's a pic of him and her on his site... It seems recent.

I have been one of the more vitriolic critics on here of her casual fan catering , jukebox oldies unchanging setlists of the last few years but I think I've found a new way to enjoy her shows and that is to no longer view them as rock concerts but as a cabaret type act like Judy Garland or Marlene Dietrich used to perform .Really her shows are no longer even a rock concert but if one can appreciate her as a touring legend the way people used to with these women it is easier to appreciate the show IMO.It works well for me as a middle aged gay man who knew people in the generation just before me that actually saw Judy or Marlene to imagine her shows that way now .I know everyone doesn't have that same frame of reference but when I think of having gone to the show as seeing a star reprise her career and looking beautiful and sounding great while she did it I found it possible to let go of alot of the expectations and resentments I had of still wanting her to behave as it was 1981 with and with the wildness and spontaneity she displayed then.
