The sad reality for me is that I'm way more interested in seeing Chris Isaak than Stevie.

Perhaps if she ever plays a venue right in San Francisco or in a couple of years I get nostalgic and want to see her in Vegas. Thankfully her vocals really were quite stunning. That saved the night for me. Otherwise I was a mixture of bored and sad. I can't believe there were no songs with Eye Sack. Highlights were hanging with Ledgie friends and meeting new ones. Oh, and watching Chris Eye Sack run past me all the way up to the lawn. He's hot. And texting Jaz. What on earth compels her to sing Enchanted? Unbelievable.... And INTK? What does any of that have to do with Crystal Visions. Tired stuff dragged out one more time...have no idea what is going on in her head. Landslide was touching as she had a montage of old photos and videos, mostly of her dad. At the end she said "thank you, Daddy". Oh, and she delivered this Stevieism at the end: "Take time to smell the roses because the world is an insane place and it's great we have a few moments where we can just be." Sorry...this is random. I'm exhausted. |

Wow! This is a real shame. I think that if anyone connected to Stevie is reading this you need to slap her silly. This is just inexcusable. It is a brand new tour with new merchandise, a new CD, blah, blah, blah, yet this is an identical setlist to what she has been doing the last few years.
On the bright side, this makes me much less sad that I am missing this tour. I saw her in Tampa in February and that is good for me for a while. Until she changes things up, I have no desire to spend the money. And, I am a huge fan! I've seen her ten times in the last four years, and it has basically been the same set list each time. But this is the final straw. Stevie and/or Stevie's people (and I know they read this board): Get with it! This is just embarassing at this point.

this is one time i hope that stevie, or someone close to her, reads this thread.
maybe she'll finally understand our disappointment. i'm not sure i've ever seen a thread like this be almost entirely unanimous in sentiment.

Poor Stevie has gotten too old and set in her ways.
With Chris Isaak with her, a shame he didn't join Stevie in her set. Leather & Lace and SDMYA duets would have been simply great. |

^ Agree. I'm actually really surprised that they didn't do anything together.
As for the setlist? I'm not surprised, but I am bored. If I score a really great pit seat (or a free one, lol) to Camden, I'll go. If not, I'll sit this one out. BTW - full white dress? Like, a white/cream colored dress? Or that beige chiffon overlay thingy she tosses on over her black get-up? Oh, and Amber - cute blurry dress. ![]() |

Yawn!!! what a boring set list. I wonder if after Chris is gone when she 's doing her own solo shows if the set list will change? I highly doubt it. What gets me is this mindset that you have to please the casual fan while screwing over the one's who have supported you from the start and continue to do so.
I went to see Bon Jovi in Ottawa in 2001 and then on the next tour saw that the setlist was virtually the same so I skipped the Bounce Tour. Then in 2005 I saw them again in Montreal and heard some new songs not heard on the One Wild Night Tour, but the majority of the set was the same old same old (Keep The Faith, Wanted, Blaze of Glory,Bad Medicine, Livin on A Prayer etc). I doubt I will go on their next tour if they plan on rehashing the same old hits The point I am making is that it I wonder how much this having to please the casual fan really matters anymore. She isn't as popular as she was so you might as well play what the die hards want because at least the shows will remain fresh to a certain extent. I wonder how long the casual fans she seems so obsessed with pleasing will continue to go. It is things like this that make me love Melissa Etheridge more and more because she plays requests from the audience and also delves into her catalogue to play songs not often done. Matt |

You think that song would be a no-brainer...an ideal opportunity for them to sing together...as a closer..."We gotta get home fast." I'm surprised their sets are so separate. At the very least I'd thought they'd make guest appearances in each other's set. Did I misread statements about this being a show with Stevie and Chris...together? And of course, the set list is as feared but expected. STEVIE AUTO-PILOT NICKS

I'll be seeing Stevie next week in San Diego. Even though I've seen her solo in Vegas 4 times in the last few years, it will be her first solo appearance in San Diego since the TISL tour in 2001. To me the setlist is tired. To my friends who will be joining me and last saw her on the Enchanted tour, it will be refreshing. They have never seen Stevie perform Rock and Roll, If Anyone Falls, How Still My Love and Beauty and the Beast. When we say she doesn't think of her die hard fans when she selects her set list - exactly how are we defining die hard fans? If we count those who post on the message boards the number is quite small when you consider that maybe 10 and at the outside 20 attended last nights show in Concord. Out of 8000 or so in attendance that's a pretty small percentage. If you don't travel to Vegas or weren't lucky to be in a city when she toured with Don Henley or Tom Petty you probably have only seen her twice on a solo tour in the last decade. I can remember seeing FM back in the 70's when you were lucky to get 3 or 4 of Stevie's song in a whole concert. Back then you wished you could hear more and would have gladly settled for only hearing Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman and Landslide. I bet not too many of those in attendance will complain about the setlist. The majority of the crowd is there to hear the exact songs she is playing. During the SYW tour I remember all the fans going to the restroom or talking out loud during Beautiful Child. For the majority, they only want to hear the songs they hear over and over again. They aren't lucky enough to know of the vast number of songs she hasn't recorded or the hidden gems on the albums that only those of us who follow her so closely know about. I'll enjoy the show because over 30 years ago when I saw her for the first time I would never have dreamed I could still see her in concert today.

Yeah this stinks, especially when I had to pay 250 bucks for my ticket. Were there any costume changes? Whats this white dress hooplah?

Well I do understand where you are all coming from but from a fan of 30 years who lives in England would just love to have had the opportunity to hear these songs 4,5,6,10 or maybe even 1 or 2 in the last 10years!!
